The directing was well done, though frantic at times. The camera angles help to intensify certain scenes. The light was good and the cast was solid. The story is about a former god of cookery who is dethroned and must get back to the top. Of course coming from Hong Kong, there are some kung fu fights. It really was fun to watch this movie, although closer to the end I recommend not taking any mind altering drugs as I felt I was on an acid trip when the BBQ pork rice was presented to the Princess of Tasting. Rent it, buy it, or just stream it I have to say it was worth the watch.

(ru) wrote: The second installment in this franchise has more of what made the original so enjoyable and entertaining, but ultimately falls a little short of reaching the same level of greatness. I did enjoy seeing Norman Reedus and Ron Pearlman added to the cast, they were really fun to watch, and Wesley Snipes was still great as Blade. The plot just seemed not to be executed as well as it could have been, but there was still enough to make for a solid follow up to a really good film
