Ryan J (it) wrote: another Miike masterpiece. distrubing and surreal, he doesn't dissapoint. The non-linear story telling in this film worked to it's advantage and helped create more human characters that were somewhat easier to relate to, then in other Miike films. Still this is a Takashi Miike film and is not for everyone....

Bengel W (es) wrote: I am going to presume that all other coach films followed this format as it seems so familiar. Gene is at his acting best so this is a treat from his more recent roles. The action is more in relationships so beware that the basketball is secondary making a fabulous drama. The sets are very simple as one would expect for pre commercialization and corruption scandals etc. Nibbles: Chocolate Buds.
Peter D (it) wrote: In a Year of 13 Moons:13 Moons is about a man who gets a sex change and the result of his actions. The worldview is this film is a very cynical one that contains a world full of cruelty, decadence and despair. The films most memorable scene is a very graphic look at cows being killed in a slaughterhouse which to me is the cruelty of humanity in a nut shell. The film also deal with crisis of identity as the main character is unsure if she made the right decision in becoming a woman and as a result lost the relationship with his wife and daughter which is very hard on him. The issue of identity crisis is so incredibly complex that it should be hard to portray on film, and yet Volker Spengler is absolutely magnificent in his portrayal of Erwin/Elvira. The film gives off a very surreal vibe and in a way it feels like maybe this is not our own reality ,but simply a land full of despair manifesting itself in a film through a drugged addled genius of a filmmaker. The film is very moving and tragic and a bit melodramatic ,but the direction of the Fassbinder is so self assured that the film manages to avoid going over the top and ends up poignant rather than silly.9/10
Gordon B (ag) wrote: It doesn't have the skill of a good Hammer horror film. It doesn't have the money shots of a good porn film. So what we're left with is a halfhearted vampire movie whose only distinguishing feature is its title.

Brandon C (kr) wrote: Why is the nfl so determined to keep its brand out of the movie theaters? In what is otherwise an entertaining, intense, if overlong and indulgent film, the lack of the brand name makes it seem rather pointless. Why the New York Giants or the Miami Dolphins couldn't be depicted in the film is still unclear. It is really hard to care about a team that is just fantasy in a league that does not exist. Other than that, however, this is an entertaining film. With the brand name, this movie would get an extra star.

Hayden H (de) wrote: Dialogue makes you want to insert nails into your head so you can feel how painful it is, the story is so unoriginal that it should be a crime, and a movie with action but not any brains attached, it's just like watching any average car chase. Also for a guy who apparently has a driving background looks scared every time he makes a turn. Selena Gomez should fire her agent for agreeing to such a stupid character. The villain is annoying not entertaining. This film is a waste of timeD is the final overall grade. No wonder Ethan Hawke is doing better movies now

Myhemmin napakymppi Face/Off:lla. New Orleans on hieno paikka ja soundtrack on mys mainio.
