Elise P (gb) wrote: Relatively good film. Performances are good mostly, the musical score is way too melodramatic and intrusive over some good intense acting. The story is an interesting one, yet some parts feel overly contrived.

Timothy S (us) wrote: Most people can do without the growing popularity of the "shaky cam" made popular by films like "The Blair Witch Project" and "Cloverfield" because they can be so difficult to watch. "Alone With Her" is an unique and novel new twist on that trend as the whole thing is shot through hidden cameras. The end result is a supremely clever and extremely creepy new thriller that is so effective because it's so plausible. It's a simple story with two effective leads in Colin Hanks and Ana Claudia Talancon, two young actors who have both been around and working for years. Neither of them have been in such a good project. They seem like real nice people, and that is totally key to the film's success. The movie gets under your skin, but it avoids all of the gratuitous gore and ugliness that is so prevalent in horror films today. The movie is voyeuristic to the point of being uncomfortable, but it's unique style grabs you from the beginning and quickly sucks you into the film. It never lets up. Director Eric Nicholas doesn't have a lot to do for the most part, but the imagination and inventiveness that he's shown in his debut feature makes me anxious to see what he'll do for a follow-up. This is not a violent film, but it almost dares you to keep watching, and there are times when that is not at all easy to do. "Alone With Her" is made all the more effective because it's so real. Guys like Hanks' character exist all over, and that fact gives this disturbing and chilling movie all the gas it needs. You won't soon forget this one.

Sneakay Rebel (kr) wrote: Though not necessrily the best production value, it's a hilarious brit-comedy that I can watch over and over and find it as great as the first time.

Noel V (ag) wrote: Wonderfully demented film, with enough skin and sweat and style to satisfy one's genital if not intellectual needs. No, the plot doesn't make sense--but does Vertigo? Never mind Willis and March, the real star here is Richard Rush who with this film shows he's got bigger and hairier balls than Paul (I'm too tasteful for my skirt) Verhoeven. Great fun.

Nao T (jp) wrote: I am fucking in love with this movie. It is my movie soul mate (sorry, Velvet Goldmine, you're still my OTHER movie soul mate). From the moment I innocently found the imbd page while sifting through Keanu Reeves acting roles, I knew I had found something... indescribable. Now, I will watch just about anything for Keanu Reeves alone. The man just has a certain charm to him, what can I say? But as I read further, I found parts of myself tingling that oughtn't tingle when balancing a 10-pound laptop on them. Directed by Gus Van Sant (who brought us the amazing My Own Private Idaho, Milk, Paris Je T'Aime, to name a few)... Starring Uma Thurman (who has a knack for playing girls who don't just sit around and look pretty)... Music by K.D. Lang... Also starring a Phoenix sibling (love those Phoenixes)... Based on a Tom Robbins novel... And to top it all off it's about cowgirls and free souls on the road ?!! Jesus. If you expect my panties to be dry after such a lethal combination you are kidding yourself.Thank you, to everyone who made this movie. Just... Thanks.
