Cris A (kr) wrote: Me thinks I might have just been in the right mood for this one - melancholy. The film is a western that takes the rumour that Butch Cassidy survived to his old age in Bolivia and picks up the thread as he decides to head home. It is a meditative piece that offers some poignant reflections about the nature of friendship and family - and it is this latter aspect that makes up for the over-reliance on the rolling vistas of the remote locations. The small number of flashbacks to the younger Cassidy and his gang were beautifully weaved into the story to provide a realistic sense of his character. For western afficionados only.
