Elise P (de) wrote: This is a funny and awkward independent film. The acting is realistic and the film is surprisingly interesting and funny. The characters are pretty stereotyped, but the acting combats that. The film has all the awkwardness and feel of real life and doesn't try too much to sum up any grand notions or character arcs. Surprisingly a good drama and not that sexually explicit considering the terrible glossy DVD cover.

Ricky R (ag) wrote: Food of Love is not an appropriate title for this movie because love is not the issue here: it is hate. At least that is what I gather because the melodramatics are a little over the top. The most glaring problem this film has is that is doesn't offer any characters that I'm willing to actually like. They all do things that are just worng and when the central character goes all 'diva' and starts talking to his mother as if he is an abusive husband, well, that's about the time the film seemed to overstayed its welcome. It isn't a bad film but because it seems to have bad people in spades and because of that I found myself unwilling to invest anything in the characters. The music, however, was top notch.

Very entertaining, well-acted and funny at times. Just a tip.... watch it on a full stomach because otherwise you will be starved!. I think it's a great movie. Bon apetit!
