Drew D (us) wrote: A sinfully hilarious flick of pure satirical genius. Two stars alone have to come from the brilliance of the script. The toss up with this flick is the extreme vulgarity of its language and content. Depending on your sense of humor, this is either extremely funny or extremely offensive. I for one, found this one very entertaining and witty, but this is most certainly not a family film.

Jacky L (ag) wrote: now this one was predictable-formulaic yes, but at least it was immensely likable. likable characters too (well, 'cept for one or two)

Nick M (it) wrote: This doc is required viewing for any screenwriters out there who yearn for Hollywood stardom. However, I saw this as more of cautionary tale than an inspiring one. Getting a script produced in the industry is not easy and this is a fact repeatedly stated by the many interview subjects who have managed to get some of their screenwriting dreams to become reality.

Grange was signed to a contract with the Chicago Bears in 1925, the day after his final game at Illinois. The team itself is loosely based on the Duluth Eskimos. Clooney later explained that "We wanted to call them the Eskimos, but because we were drinking in the movie, the NFL said we couldn't use the actual names." The Canton Bulldogs was the first successful pro football team, which is why the Professional Football Hall of Fame is located in Canton, Ohio.Leatherheads began filming on February 12, 2007. Filming locations mainly included locations in Chattanooga, Tennessee, upstate South Carolina around Anderson, Greenville, Ware Shoals, Greer and Travelers Rest, as well as Boiling Springs and western North Carolina around Statesville, Greensboro and Winston-Salem, specifically at Hanes Middle School and the Winston-Salem Millennium Center. Additional train scenes were filmed in the Winston-Salem suburb of Tobaccoville, specifically in the community of Donnaha. The crew and cast headquarters during the Winston-Salem scenes were based in the nearby town of East Bend, in Yadkin County, NC. The football game scenes at the beginning and at the end of the picture were filmed at Memorial Stadium, near Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina, with technical advisor T.J. Troup "teaching them the intricacies of 1920s football so that they look and sound like real players of the era."Train scenes were filmed at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, North Carolina and The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga, TN. Filming wrapped in mid-May 2007. After initially being set for release in December 2007, the studio moved the release date to April 4, 2008.On March 24, George Clooney and Rene Zellweger premiered the film in Maysville, Kentucky, birthplace of Clooney's father and aunt, Nick Clooney and Rosemary Clooney. Clooney and Zellweger visited Duluth to promote the film. The piano player bent over the tack piano with eyes glued to music is the composer of the original music in this film, Oscar-winning songwriter Randy Newman. The George and Ira Gershwin song "The Man I Love" is sung in the film but the song was not extant in 1925. It was "part of the 1927 score for the Gershwin antiwar musical satire Strike Up the Band".Special effectsThe motorcycle that Clooney and Zellweger rode in Leatherheads is not a vintage V-twin motorcycle. It is one of three custom-built 36-volt electric-powered Indian replicas.man this is such an entertaining movie 2 watch, I think that this is such a really funny movie 2 watch, with a great cast throughout this movie......

George G (mx) wrote: Even though it fails to make you sympathize with the characters and gives a rather unnatural mechanism of story development (a "what to do before I die list), it shows a human and understandable reaction from a person that knows her death is imminent. Fantastic performance my Sarah Polley. If they could manage to keep inside the borders of realism this could have been a great film.

Erik D (it) wrote: I don't know why but I actually like this one. Fuck me right? It's silly and it knows it, gives laugh and don't overstay it's welcome.

Jayneel R (es) wrote: "American Desi" is a well intentioned, but VERY poorly directed comedy about an ABCD (American Born Confused Desi) who discovers and embraces his heritage by living with 3 relatively eccentric Asian room-mates. Aside from Ronobir Lahiri who plays the role of Jagjit Singh, the performances are all God awful and at times you'll really feel like you're watching a student movie. Still, there are some amusing moments.

Rod G (it) wrote: Ni el carisma, ni humor de Eddie Murphy pueden evitar que esta secuela sea un lastimero y mediocre nuevo captulo de "The Nutty Professor" que cae en el humor de inodoro ms profundo que su predecesora.

Ray D (kr) wrote: Charming Canadian Documentary about a guy obsessed with wrestling grizzly bears, and who is building a suit of armour to let him realize this dream of tracking down a bear and defeating it in hand-to-hand combat. Fun film, but it also makes you think about the little dreams that regular people have, and how they try to realize them. Would make a good double bill with GRIZZLY MAN.

Robyn M (es) wrote: Tommy lee Jones and Cedric the Entertainer are a perfect match for a excellent movie. It's got cheerleaders, goofy lines and a hilarious dance off. whats not to love about this out of the box comedy? Don't listen to the other critics, follow your instinct on this great film. The trailer is misleading by making it seem like its a corny flick, but if your a Tommy Lee Jones fan and really would like to see the softer side! I highly recommed this movie.

Stephen C (fr) wrote: Long seen as an uber cult movie Richard Stanleys second film is a reall let down for this viewer after finaly tracking it down on DVD. The main problems are twofold ,firstly the two leads are soo dull that when the excitement and hororr kick in ,your brain has start to wander all over the place and as a result the interest level dissapates greatly. It doesn't help that the director seems to think he is Nicholas Roeg circa 1971 with Walkabout while he actually feels like Ken Russel Circa 1986 Crimes of Passion. The film feels like one long boring pop promo and you get the impression Stanley did this to cover up some holes in the story. Their are some plus points with the supporting cast most notably and the loaction ,but sadly my enjoyment of the film had long since vanished after another poinless arty shot. A cult movie for some then but pure boredom for this viewer.

iain m (fr) wrote: I think its the film's score (and only in places) that puts so many people off - much of the music seems to hark back to some kind of 1960s Sound of Music theme park. The film is visually beautiful, with a lot of good science in the dilemmas, and a really interesting take on our nearest neighbour. I don't think its anywhere near as bad as people on here suggest, but then I didn't want us to leave Europe, and I can't stand the Kardashians - so what do I know.

Shawn R (gb) wrote: This is a haunted house movie that is not only smart it actually works and is entertaining to watch.

David P (nl) wrote: For an Australian movie, I liked it but the acting could of been better.
