Think 'Shaft' meets 'Pulp Fiction.' It's super grimy, extremely gully, ultra violent and sexually explicit. It's sub-titled but don't let that stop you from seeing this shockingly fun film. It's a bit rough around the edges but that sort of adds to the flava of this really good film that's loaded with swag and straight African cool.

(es) wrote: For those who enjoy Irish Dancing, this is the perfect movie. It is the epitome of why people dance. The passion and love of dancing is evident in every number and there is no doubt left in your mind about the quality of the show. The sounds are spot on and Michael Flatley still manages to have never ending energy and enthusiasm. Everyone of those dancers love what they do and they are darn good at it too.

It's so much sexual complications taken that the lover who sleeps with the girl also sleeps with her mom, whom herself sleeps with the father of her girl's lover, and the stalker who's constantly in sexual activity with the primary girl also sleeps with the mother of the girl's essential lover - fiance, not to mention that the main girl is in love with the FATHER of her fiance from the very beginning......Woaaah can you dig that ???? And I just can't seem to know why the world do need to see a full naked bullfight.....Anyway, the actors were just amazing especially Cruz and Bardem who did extremely well. The music and the sceneries were relaxing and sets a beautiful tone to some romantic scenes. It's not a must-see, but if you're a fan of spanish films, you won't wanna miss that one.

While it is an enjoyably different vampire film, it does not truly capitalize upon the elements it puts into play.
(kr) wrote: Silly, but pure fun with Jim Carey, from the first minute to the last. Not a brilliant movie, but some genuine slapstick humour with a slight touch of social satire.
(kr) wrote: Not worthy the film is recorded upon. Why do they keep making this kind of waste? (the half star more is for Salma Hayek, but she should choose more wisely the movies on which to star).
(it) wrote: A masterful piece of filmmaking that explores the difference between one being alone and being lonely. It's not exactly fun at times, but this movie's dark sense of humor, paired with an airtight script makes for a beautiful and ingenious piece of movie magic.Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan's touching and unconventional chemistry makes this movie standout from the crowd, which is why it's an absolute crime that this movie is so underrated. This pairing will forever be one of my favorite on-screen couples, imaginary or not.But easily the best part of this film is the script. From the creative premise to the pitch-perfect dialogue, this is a perfect storm of indie cinema gold.A masterpiece. Touching, beautiful, hilarious, and oddly haunting. This is a near perfect movie. Criminally underrated.
