Phileine Says Sorry
Gorgeous Dutch youngster Max has two passions, acting and girls. The first becomes his brilliant career, which takes off so well he gets invited to a prestigious New York theatre course for a year. But since he met fickle bitch Phileine in an Utrecht park, his flirting life is cut short while she cruelly plays with his feelings rather then his horny body. After refusing to follow him, she turns up uninvited later and still acts jealous and possessive. Grief follows for everyone, working up to a convoluted finale.

(gb) wrote: Decent tv film tied to an excellent animated show.
(it) wrote: not the 3d film that came out in 2008, but a crappy low budget horror, again more torture pawn, which is getting rather boreing, theres nothing in this at all,

(de) wrote: Turkish movie Uzak (Distant) was a very slow and simple story about two relatives, a young man Yusuf that came from a village and arrived in Istanbul to stay with his older cousin Mahmut.Yusuf was looking for work in the big city, but after some weeks trying, he was still without any success. And the burden of having Yusuf living with Mahmut was too much he could endure. The performances of these two man were excellent and it was a pleasure to see them interact.Visually everything was said, and there was not much dialog, the less they used was to bring their disagreement, and anger between them. This was sure an outstanding piece of work, for the two main actors and the director, Nuri Ceylan. Some might say that the pace was too slow, but I guessed the director wanted to show how time pass slowly especially for those who are alone.

(kr) wrote: Sure the CG is awful now, and some of its kinda corny, but this is still such a blast. About as perfect of a Mortal Kombat movie as you can ask for...
(ca) wrote: The film is more interesting in the second half. John Wayne plays a Union Army Colonel who loses a friend and gold shipment at the end of the Civil War. He seeks revenge on the one who fed information to the Confederates, bringing along a female who is being chased by a corrupt Sheriff and his deputies, in a land stealing plot. This is the meat of the film, when the villain is revealed and stakes are put down. I wasn't very interested, as the film is very generic with not too much flavour.
(gb) wrote: Some people might say it's Heston w/a bad accent and Olivier in black face. they're right but this is tsill one of my favorites. "Oh Beloveds! Did I not promise thee a miracle?"
(br) wrote: It's not groundbreaking, but The Way Back has performances strong enough to support an overlooked and fascinating piece of war history.
