Phoonk ends with the killing of Madhu, the woman who casts a black magic spell on Rajiv’s daughter Raksha. Phoonk 2 begins with Madhu’s ghost returning from the grave to seek revenge on the family. On bagging a new construction project, Rajiv moves with his family to a new place. Raksha and Rohan begin exploring the new place and the surroundings- the lonely beach and then the woods behind the house. The terror begins with Raksha and Rohan finding a doll in the woods and then it progresses to a series of highly traumatising experiences for the whole family. Manja, the only man whom Rajiv could turn to, meets a gruesome death at the hands of the black magic woman Madhu’s ghost, who has risen from the grave to avenge her own death to seek vengeance on Rajiv, by torturing his loved ones- his wife Arati and their children, Raksha and Rohan.
Tyler B (it) wrote: One of the better football films of this decade. Yes it has a religous tone to it but it doesn't overwhelm the Football aspect of the film. That part was very solid. Having been a player in high school I can state that this film nails the brotherhood, earning respect, and hard work aspect of Football down very well. It helped having such an important figure like Burlsworth to focus the film on. He himself is one of the great triumpth stories of college football and would have been a star in the NFL. His story is one of heart, will, dedication, and dream following. His story was perfect for a bio film and this one did it well. He was a very religous guy so it wouldn't have worked otherwise if it had not been included in but the movie did it so well that it worked pefectly. It's not overtly preachy like some Christian Football films but it's in there and actually works. Thought his family's arcs were pretty solid especially his father and brother. His brother imo was the best actor in the film and his dealings with a dark farmer (reminds me of Satan,) was fantastic. He was overcoming his demons and by the end his journey was worthwhile. The film ended well with the funeral and I though the flashback scenes thru the day worked fine.My one priblem with the film was the scenes showing his mom breaking down after his death; could have done without those scenes. But taking them out I enjoyed this film very much and list on my list of favorite football films for sure.

They cussed too much though throughout this film. This one has a lot of memorable lines, scenes, and music. This is a film I can watch many times but I prefer to see it on T.V. With it's censorship. The car chase at the beginning was very cool to watch. The villains were well done in the acting. And we all love seeing how much of a con man Axel is at the hotel as well as the police departments in Detroit and Beverly Hills. Axel's beat up car was also a funny joke throughout this film. I like the way this film is shot and the cuts are done.
