Ferdi A (mx) wrote: A very decent entry in the horror genre. Fright Night 2: New Blood is another remake of the 1985 original, but disguised as a sequel. The results are less than underwhelming. The story is unoriginal and the ending is predictable. Admitted, the story has one interesting aspect to it (the Elizabeth Bthory legend). The acting is weak, some of the characters were really annoying and I could only care for the main actor Will Payne who played Charley Brewster. The make-up effects are solid and there is a fair share of blood and gore in this movie. The directing wasn't that bad either, especially for a direct-to-video title. Fright Night 2: New Blood is overall extremely pointless and unnecessary as it doesn't add up much to what we've seen in the Fright Night remake of 2011, which I actually much prefer over this... Its nothing you haven't seen before and seen better before. If you're a fan of the Fright Night movies you might enjoy this, but for newcomers: stay FAR away!

Anthony L (gb) wrote: You can't beat a good 'Family of Cops' New York drama. This one has every cliche under the sun, the Dad is the forceful boss, one brother can't be trusted, brothers fight, there is a formal funeral in the rain, one brother lives on a boat etc etc. It's better than most of the cheesy films that have come before in the genre but unfortunately that fact doesn't do it any favours because as entertaining as it is, we've seen it all before. Elizabeth Bennet shaved her head though, so respect given.

Jason R (br) wrote: Great cult martial arts classic. The movie centers around the Venoms and their quest to find a hidden treasure and discover each other's identities. It is very influential (yes the Deadly Viper Assassins Squad from Kill Bill was based on the idea). It has everything you'd expect from a martial arts movie including choppy dialogue (so you might want to turn on the voice over for even more late night classic effect). The movie was recently cleaned up for Blu-Ray and looks great (though the Blu-Ray does show some of the films make-up weaknesses).
