Cari M (jp) wrote: I liked this movie and I just love the ending.

Shelley H (gb) wrote: Beautiful costumes, sets and the acting is quite good. The story is sad but a good one. I recommend it. One of the best films I've seen in a while.

James N (mx) wrote: Great Swedish crime story which is well paced and has several twists and turns as a detective, reluctantly, returns to his home town to help investigate a murder and finds a complex web of relationships and motives for the crime. Compelling. .

Gordon B (kr) wrote: I like how this documentary doesn't just glorify Metallica. Rather we get a revealing look at this group of highly creative yet highly insecure musicians

Simon D (de) wrote: The Fat Girl is a character straight out of a Belle and Sebastian song. A troubled teen with a fit sister who flaunts it in front of her little sister. This is the main part of the film which, nobody can argue, does contain some scenes which probably should not have passed the censors. The rather odd ending is the best part of the film; have fun trying to work out how it relates to the rest of the movie.

Jeppe A (nl) wrote: Oh yes! What a beautiful story! Beautiful characters. Fantastic actors.

Gary B (mx) wrote: Wonderfully homoerotic Italian funded film filmed in Istanbul! Beautifully shot! Made me yearn for a Turkish bath in that city!

Anthony K (ca) wrote: Entertainingly staged (much like a play, notably) & full of the Coen bros. trademark audience engagement. I will say the ending left me scratching my head and certainly put a grinding halt to the narrative progress achieved thus far with a sudden dose of magical realism, but the rest was so appealing that it can be forgiven.

Edgar C (es) wrote: Holocaust features abound still nowadays. So what would it make Dmanty Noci to shine above most of them? Its sheer honesty. Jan Nemec explores a side of war catastrophe that no other movie has shown: the inner thoughts of youth amidst harrowing circumstances. Modern society labels this as surrealism. It is not: it is a journey through disturbed minds. We say that thoughts and fantasies may distract us from reality. However, in such harsh and awful circumstances, it is the thoughts and fantasies that took this youngsters to either an idealized existence or to their past, better lives. Hence, reality is the distractor from a better life. I really hope none of us ever understands this. 99/100

Chung Hang M (gb) wrote: Taylor was pretty and was it Oscar worthy? Not sure. But of course you can't take your eyes off her in every single scene she's in (which is like all of it). I find the ending a little bizzare and actually not sure how to make sense of the story. Still, a good movie to see old Hollywood glamour.

Sam A (us) wrote: So many impressive performances make this film truly enjoyable. Albert Finney was exceptionally funny and the supporting cast were very good. I loved the ending as well It was brilliantly concluded and made the film a lot off until watch.
