(nl) wrote: A little cheesy and the acting was just okay. However, it made me wanna be a surfer! It just looks like so much fun...might have to try it one day.
(kr) wrote: I really liked this film and at times I forgot it was an animation. A touching tale of a man who feels not only abandoned by his son but also by his memories. This film tackles growing old, dementia, family but what hit home for me was the loneliness. Being place into a home and having to make friends at this stage of ones life is no easy task. Its something I hope never happens to me.

It increases the thirst of every hungry underdog for success, to prove himself or herself. It gives so many right messages at right time and to right people or I should say people who really need to get those messages. The match between girl and boys addresses girls hunger to prove they are not less than men. Winning at international level defeating well equipped, well trained team addresses wishes and desires of every success starving little guy. Absolutely brilliant concept executed to perfection.
(fr) wrote: An amazing action film shot masterfully and full throttle from start to finish.Great story, great cast, cinematography from beyond and of course Rio and it's slums shot like a wonderful maze where drug trafficking and music intertwine.... a surprisingly efficient film that ill take you on a crazy ride and leave you breathless. Two thumbs up!
(kr) wrote: While Williams is charming and funny throughout, "RV" is amateur hour as far as entertaining the entire family with this unoriginal road trip movie.
(ag) wrote: As irreverent and gut-busting as Billy Bob Thornton's brilliant performance as the titular misanthrope, Bad Santa offers a dark, refreshingly offbeat and decidedly non-family-friendly take on the holly jolly Christmas spirit that manages to keep a hard head and yet still ultimately end up as heartwarming as any family-friendly holiday feature.
(ag) wrote: 1994 was a terrific year for film. This French film, Les Roseaux Sauvages, is a prime example of that; it's also one of the most important gay films of the 90s. Director Andr Tchin has created a film of striking reverberance with rich characters (not to mention an attractive cast) and soul-stirring sensuality.

(fr) wrote: Caveman is occasionally clever enough to warrant a grin, but it's ultimately a parody that lacks targets or inspiration and features some of the most laughable special effects put to film.
(us) wrote: A woman falls in love with a stranger, marries him and moves into his home, where she discovers his peruliar collection that has him reserving a wing of his mansion to reproductions of rooms of famous murders. Interesting and downright creepy concept though the execution is not as original. Lang's filmmaking style is still evident, particularly in some nightmarish sequences, but perhaps the film has more interest in developing its themes than characters or plot in a convincing and entertaining way.
(us) wrote: Incredible cast but the movie was sooooo slow, I thought it'd never end.
(ca) wrote: I didn't hate this flick, got you right into it and really well acted by Kurt Angle.

Highest praise for all concerned, if only for allowing those who may have been understandably reluctant to put themselves through the agony of reading the novel, the briefer agony of watching this. If however, like me, you find having your heart artificially warmed or your soul forcibly uplifted by the trite mechanics of Hollywood, this film will not offend.
