Kaitlyn J (de) wrote: Ridiculous and rather boring. Story is week and falling apart.

Noname (ca) wrote: Surprisingly very good drama thriller movie starring Don Cheadle in the main role from movies like the Ocean trilogy and Hotel Rwanda. The story was good and engaging to follow. This flick reminds me much of "Bourne" in a way. Not quite the same action style tho but a decent tempo throughout the whole movie. Other famous faces are Jeff Daniels and Guy Pearce with good performances aswell. Enjoy

Where it departed from convention, it did so in silly ways that might have made me laugh, as I certainly can get off on the strangest little details, I ended up left cold. It was shaping up as a buddy cop flick, and it held that form throughout. It was a little curious to see the character introduced as the "straight edge" quickly revert to a gambling and whoring frat boy to match his fellows, but I didn't have much problem with it. The sudden introduction of machetes dealing death from behind was a slight upturn, but the whole thing was flat for me. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Force of Evil, on the other hand, was quite an entertaining look at the machinations behind dealing in the numbers racket. It centers on a man who desperately tries to protect his reluctant brother from being wiped out when a bigger fish moves into to swallow the smaller network of rackets. A morality tale, it doesn't come on too thick, and was a good time. At points brother Leo (Thomas Gomez) waxed on in theater style soliloquy, which broke the mood, but it wasn't a significant detraction to me. Reggie gets the credit for this one. Movin up the charts, RR!

WS W (ru) wrote: So offbeat, (not really) perhaps the film was made in 1995.

Arun K (gb) wrote: It is wonderful to see the Bond series re-booted with a brilliant movie. Explores the start a young 007 learning from his mistakes during a mission. Daniel Craig performs the epic 007 role brilliantly and gives a grounded performance.

Sam M (ca) wrote: On rewatch it's quite a ridiculous story and film overall. The very long scenes are short films themselves. Kidman was the worst possible choice for the Alice role and Kubrick could've done better than Tom.

Colton D (ca) wrote: A riveting crime noir that is unforgettable, unique, and requires multiple viewings.

Armando P (it) wrote: Would be better if the story wasn't so damn bad
