I don't know how any movie producer, after seeing this, could take her seriously when considering where to put their movie-making dollars. And Westfeldt couldn't even muster up the strength to redo the scenes where she's supposed to be crying. Not one tear - human, glycerine or otherwise - is to be found coming from her. The talent that was wasted on this movie! Adam Scott was a surprisingly delightful leading man. Jon Hamm hitched his wagon to his wifey's project (he didn't make eye contact with Westfeldt in any of the scenes they share). This movie had so many chances to save itself but it seems like Westfeldt just wanted to check "Make bigscreen movie with hunky husby" off her bucket list and get back to shopping with him at Barney's for the benefit of the paparazzi. What a true shame.

Mostly "what would I do if I was being forced to move out of my homeland and work as an illegall elsewhere where I don't matter to anyone (as it turns out). The main character is a refugee of the failed US drug war, mentioning he was previously in agriculture "picking fruit and the coca leaf" until the "Yankees" decided to "burn" the plants and now nothing grows and nobody has work. Does anyone remember Paraquat? Thats what he is referring to. It just shows you what Real effect elite politicians don't do a lot of analysis into how their policies affect other countries and the people in them. If anyone should have been angry and resentful in this movie it should have been him. Watch it for yourself and see what I mean.

(br) wrote: Great action sci-fi movie starring Kurt coban. This movie is just flat out awesome, I love all the characters , it's a good pop corn flick. I live in san Francisco and it rarely rains here but in the movie it rains a lot. I wish it rains this much in actual san Francisco because of the drought, maybe when this movie was made there was no drought. Kurt cobans character is just cool, he would be an awesome best friend to have. I heard that there is going to be a reboot starring the Rock but I bet that it wouldn't be as good as Kurt coban because kurts character has charisma and the rock doesn't have charisma. Even though the special effects suck in this movie the plot backs it up and the characters.
