I believe the show has a great blend of over the top humor and an enduring quality to Barry and Mel's relationship. They may have been obnoxious to others but they were perfect for each other. If you are the kind of person who is irritated by "Barrys" (people lacking Couth) you may not like this movie. However if you can identify with this movie then your probably a "Barry" and loved it.

A non-linear roller coaster follows with stops through time in the 60's, 70's, 90's, 2000, and 2001. It's quite an adventure (and a story...if this is your line of interest), filled with riveting details that is sure to discourage bathroom breaks--least you would be willing to forgo chunks of important information that piece this whole production together. One phrase did come to mind watching this movie, "Lolo (Grandfather), look at my mole?"

She has a breakdown and famously "sees" God in the form of an attacking spider. Disturbing and difficult film should not be the first Bergman film you'll see. It takes an appreciation of this director's films to understand this film. Part one of an infamous Bergman trilogy.
