Chinmay C (ag) wrote: A story of this scale and level of intricacy had probably never been told in Hindi Cinema until Gangs of Wasseypur. Anurag Kashyap did in this movie what he does the absolute best, create well-rounded, strong yet disfunctional and vulnerable characters and inhabit them in a realistic world (filled with violence and gore obviously, because its still an Anurag Kashyap film). Sardar Kahn, Faisal Khan and Ramadhir Singh are the characters I will probably never forget. And the dialogues like 'Kehke lunga uski' will certainly be the words I'll always curse my enemies with. Gangs of Wasseypur quickly raised to be one of my favorite films of all time and will be there for long into the future.

Adam R (it) wrote: Horribly slow and quite boring. It was based on a book and I assume that the movie's bad features were due to how the book was. There were some very good dialogue but they were few and far between. Most of the characters were too unbelievable in their actions. Worth it? NO

Allan E (ca) wrote: : Stylish thriller set in a sci-fi dystopia. The greenish-gray palette with the occasional splash of salmon pink, and the dank, dripping, claustrophobic catacombs festooned with dangling wires, tubes and pipes put me in mind of Jeunet and Gilliam. Dialogue is minimal??incoherent grunts, shouts and shrieks get equal time with spoken language. The story is basic. The fun was in the journey. Still, this may be not be everyone's cup of tea.

Doctor S (de) wrote: The French title Jeux d'Enfants actually translates to Children's Games. The English title is fairly clever since dares make up the main attraction between Julien and Sophie, from children through adulthood. What began as playful becomes progressively hurtful leading up to a rather ridiculous (or I suppose incredibly romantic, depending on your POV) final dare. This is a very twisted love story which starts out great with terrific fanciful visuals from director Yann Samuell reminiscent of Jeunet, but fails to sustain its premise in part because these two characters as adults aren't particularly likable. I think this could have worked, as Sophie and Julien only find real thrills in life when they are challenging each other, but emerges as a mixed bag.

Michael W (nl) wrote: Only two years separated from Kickboxer 3, a whole lot has happened. Archrival Tong Po, now a druglord in Mexico (and visionary record producer!), has framed Sloan to prison and abducted Sloan's wife. Tong Po can certainly carry a grudge. In a deal with the DEA, Sloan is sent to Mexico under an alias to bring down Po in his own martial arts tournament, using sunglasses to avoid detection from Tong Po.

Private U (mx) wrote: More good stuff from Bubsy Berkely. Ruby Keeler wasn??t in this one which is a little disappointing. However, she was in 33 and all the others. Not sure they could have done a whole lot more with her after Dames. You can??t really compare these films to everything that??s not a Bubsy Berkely film, you can only compare them to each other. The story in this one is entertaining and the musical sequences very nice. Not too much really makes it stand out over the other four. But compared to every other movie out there, it is certainly quite special. Definitely loved the guy writing a book on snuff.

Parker R (au) wrote: The script is juvenile and boring, Willis and Morgan are given horrendous dialogue that overshadows their charisma, and the entire film goes from being unfunny to downright irritating.

Alehee N (us) wrote: The best comedy movie and best movie in general. Why isn't this an Oscar winner yet?
