This time he mixes a real-life Broken Social Scene show at Harbourfront with a fictional love triangle between life long friends. Entertains throughout, though I might have given it four stars if they had remembered to play "Backyards".

Granted, 5 times more drama and two thirds less gunplay, but captivating all the same.Brilliant performances in a tragic love story.

I absolutely loved this film, it was a bit too long but the plot and acting from the 3 main actors make up for the long running time. Its sad to see that this movie didn't get the praise from fans that it deserves, people were probably turned away from it because its not your typical Bollywood family film. Its a film beyond its time and a classic! definitely going into my movie collection =)

Brandon S (mx) wrote: Stuart Cooper's World War II masterpiece is highly original and the pacing is slow and hauntingly brooding, which combined make for one of the top anti-war films ever made. The way that Cooper intertwines newsreel footage, with actual war shots, and then his own film together is amazing, by doing this it makes the film so much more alarming to the viewer. The acting throughout the film is subdued which is also a great way to add to the realism. Highly recommended.
