It's got enough style and blends action so well that it's easily the best Gulf War movie. It also doesn't try to overcrowd the movie with patriotism, even questioning the reasons for which America is even there in the war. It has got interesting characters and it's a thoroughly enjoyable watch.

Andrew L (nl) wrote: A good thriller with a nice cast selection including the great Rutger Hauer.

Chris L (ag) wrote: One of those rare movies where the story is so natural and effortless that an ending is almost beside the point. You're so invested in the characters and the choices they make that you're prepared to follow them even to a potential unsatisfying climax (don't fear, though, because the ending is perfect).

Candice B (gb) wrote: One of my favorite movies of all time! It's funny and great!

Ed F (ca) wrote: Another Mike Leigh jem; subtle, sweet and endearing, with a simple social commentary narrative and characters so real you feel like you could know them.

Connor G (ru) wrote: I thought it just a standard, albeit entertaining courtroom drama, but the last five minutes spun it all around in a mindblowing fashion, making it one that can rank up there with Anatomy of a Murder and 12 Angry Men.

Walter M (au) wrote: On the one hand, James Bonomo(Sylvester Stallone), a hitman, would very much like to to avenge the death of his partner Louis(Jon Sena) who died at the hands of Keegan(Jason Momoa). At the same time, Taylor Kwon(Sung Kang), a police detective, arrives from Washington DC to New Orleans to investigate the death of his former partner, James and Louis' last victim. That leads to James saving Taylor's life, against his worse instincts, even bringing him to his daughter Lisa(Sarah Shahi), a tattoo artist, in order to be stitched up."Bullet to the Head" is a flat, uninspired and banal revenge action movie that does not even have the proper energy to try to be a proper buddy movie. That's not to mention a truly convoluted plot that again proves how often a real estate scam does not make for scintillating drama. All of which is a shame considering Walter Hill should know better with his long and acclaimed track record. At least, he cast Sarah Shahi even though she is not given much to do and Jason Momoa who walks around he like owns the room and does.
