Jason J (fr) wrote: Two young boys escape from an island after an experimental nerve gas accident which kills most of the population. The US army massacre the rest of those who survived in order to keep everything a secret with the Japanese government covering everything up. The two manage to get to the mainland where a kindly priest takes them in. 16 years later and one of the boys Yuki has a plan to get revenge by murdering those who had a hand in the covering up the nerve gas experiment. But that's not all that he wants. What he really wants is a sample of the nerve gas nicknamed MW (pronounced Moo) and drop it over Tokyo. Police detective Lt Tawaki is on his tail but can he stop Yuki in time before he manages to bring armageddon to Japan's capital city? M.W is a great nifty cat and mouse thriller with great performances from Hiroshi Tamaki and Takayuki Yamada. I felt it dragged a little bit and perhaps the running time could have been cut by 30 mins to make the movie a bit more fast paced but overall I thought it was very enjoyable and entertaining.

Pam C (de) wrote: Solid Tom Cruise movie. Whatever you think of him, he does the best action films with interesting story lines and well cast characters and Jack Reacher is no exception.

Blake B (jp) wrote: Heartfelt, fun, although, yes, predictable, Larry Crowne is still a nice, feel-good film, with excellent performances.

Jeff L (it) wrote: Three and a half stars.

Stephan K (nl) wrote: This movie is a typical product of the 80ties and a lot of coke. King officially said that he doesn't remember directing this movie because he was high all the time. It is pretty fun to watch but don't expect any plot or that the characters behave in any realistic way. They don't, even remotely. The gore effects are few but fun. That's all I can say.

Robert U (es) wrote: The movie that inspired my childhood neighbor "Murf the Surf:""The Star of India, a golfball-sized gem which legend says was formed in the earth by sparks from the Star of Bethlehem was the most famous star sapphire in the world. It was stolen from the American Museum of Natural History on a rainy October night in 1964. The boldness of the theft impressed even the police. Jack Murf the Surf? Murphy, who was 27 at the time, and another man, Allen Kuhn, had just seen the Jules Dassin film Topkapi? which detailed the theft of a priceless gem from an Istanbul museum. According to published reports, the athletic Murf dangled from a 125-foot rope and swung onto a fifth floor window ledge that led to the gem room of the museum. Murphy waited until the night watchman(TM)s flashlight disappeared then entered the museum through an unlocked window. He used the sound of a plane passing overhead to drown out the noise of breaking into the glass jewel case. After stuffing several gems in his pocket, he went down to Times Square and grabbed a drink at a local bar.
