(nl) wrote: Ignore the Oscars, Elizabeth Olsen delivered the most interesting performance by an actress in 2011. The Durkin Brothers have created a truly chilling depiction of cult manipulation, brainwashing and the devastating PTSD that results. And, while those aspects are crucial to the film -- it is also a surprisingly creepy experience where the viewer must decide the validity of the title character's paranoia. Unforgettable, disturbing and haunting.

(us) wrote: This movie was pretty dumb. Heather Graham is just not a good actress and it was so clichey! I think it's great that movies about homosexuality are in theatres, but I think it will be even better when they don't resort to lame stereotypes and fantasies about lesbians.

(de) wrote: The change of voice actor for Charlie was distracting, and it kept me from enjoying the parts of the movie that were good. I didn't like the young boy. He was a poor replacement for Judith Barsi's character Anne Marie. I didn't believe the romance between Charlie and the female dog. The only thing about the movie I liked was when Satan took control of heaven. That scene was chilling and fun. The song sung between Charlie and the female dog was a pretty well put together song, but one good song and a cool villain don't save this movie.

(ag) wrote: There's no mistaking this for a good movie, but it is so over-the-top that it is kind of enjoyable as a "bad movie". It's politics are really messed up and it is ridiculously jingoistic. What really makes it shine though is the very likeable cast.
