Action is sprinkled nicely thru film and is well paced. As a bonus, the stories are based on true events (so I'm learning Chinese history! ;)

David S (kr) wrote: Well that was dumb. One of the most predictable films I've seen in a long while. Every twist that happened I saw coming from 100 miles away. Ethan Hawke was not good whatsoever. I feel he was severely miss casted.

Wes S (it) wrote: A interesting parallel from the original film, but it still doesn't quite match up to it. There are many unanswered questions and plot holes. There are more lighthearted moments, but it isn't completely scarce of dark bits. Parts of it do work well though, and it is a fairly enjoyable sequel for the most part.
Jay K (ru) wrote: Vivacious Lady is somehow the only film pairing of Ginger Rogers and Jimmy Stewart that came out of the Hollywood golden age. Seeing how much fun they have together on screen in this excellent romantic comedy, it's evidently a great shame that it stands alone. Full of memorable slapstick set pieces - Ginger getting in a cat fight, Jimmy getting drunk in a cupboard - and what appears to be real affection between the two stars, it's up there with the most charming pictures of its time. The film is also notable for embracing the sexual tension of its lead characters, to great success in one particular scene, which is all too rare in the hands-off romances of post-Hays Code cinema.

Doctor S (ru) wrote: What happens when during a lazy afternoon the baseball game you planned on enjoying succumbs to a lengthy rain delay? You end up watching most of Eurotrip which runs on a seemingly endless loop on TBS. Fairly typical Naughties teen sex comedy, produces a few more giggles than some but the laid-back approach makes it all seem somewhat lazy (here's slouching at you, Jacob Pitts). Best parts probably the fistfight with a robot mine and Lucy Lawless as Dutch prostitute Madam Vandersexx.

Paul S (br) wrote: Starts off well enough, but then spirals into mediocrity. If the movie had ended at the halfway point, which was the climax of the movie, it would have been a halfway decent movie. Unfortunately it goes on and on trying very heavy-handedly to beat the viewer over the head with it's ridiculous religious connotations.
