(es) wrote: It is a movie where majority of the people can relate to the situations in the film.

(de) wrote: Wes Anderson's sophomore effort not only sets the scene for his unique visual style, but also tells a really touching story of three different souls all searching for different things. Anderson's approach to a typical teenage coming-of-age story, which focuses just as much on supporting characters as it does its lead, is a fresh take on a character who, unlike many coming-of-age protagonists, needs to realize that maybe growing up isn't something to be rushed. While it's not Anderson's funniest film, it packs plenty of laughs without ever losing sight on its sense of heart, and it's a tale that'll resonate long after the curtains close and the credits roll.

(ca) wrote: It's a morality tale for a very basic moral, but the movie does it so well, you forget about that. Charlie Sheen delivers what is probably his best performance (he delivers in the scene of his arrest). Martin Sheen gives a great performance as a down to earth, morally upright, and unpolished father. The scene in the elevator is tense. Michael Douglas captures a deserved Best Actor Oscar for his performance as a quick talking, ruthless, entrepreneur. His voice, tone, piercing eyes, and physicality are perfect for the role he put so much work in to. The movie could have been a bit faster paced and the sound track could have had less bad eighties music, but overall this is an entertaining movie with great performances and memorable scenes. Wall Street, for lack of a better title, is good.
