When travelling through Resurrection County, mind the signs, one false move out there could be your last. When four suburbanite campers roll into the remote town of Enoch, they find that southern hospitality still exists. But things are not what they appear to be, as a weekend camping trip turns deadly, and the locals are all too happy to serve up their own brand of an eye for an eye justice. The laws that you so willingly follow are not always right.

(jp) wrote: One of the worst movies I have ever seen. This is one of the most inaccurate portrayals of a non-fiction character in movie history. "Butcher" features Ed Gein as a strong, hulk like figuere who stacks up a high body count. The real Gein was a scrawny, middle aged farmer who only killed two people. He did most of his work digging up graves. I understand that they needed to make Ed Gein more prolific to the public, but they fail on that account as well. "Psycho", "Silence of the Lambs", and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" also transformed Gein into a more menacing figuere. Watch those films instead.

(kr) wrote: 3 1/2 stars! Maybe not as good as the first one, but it still is really fun to watch!

(nl) wrote: NC-17 rating aside the acting in this film is something that cannot be dismissed. This should be required viewing in High Schools across America (we watched October Sky). It's like everybody expects the world to be a series of cheeky Saved By the Bell cliches but it's really a lot more like Degrassi. This film shows how gritty and savage the world can be; and here in this turn of the century urban inner city setting, actually is. It's violent, it's sad, it's real and this film will make those weak at heart; sick to the stomach.

(gb) wrote: AWESOME low budget indie movie with great acting from Laughlin - some of the hippy/love campus bits in the middle are boring, but there are so many good lines and philosophies in this Great 70s Movie
(us) wrote: This is so bad, its uh, good? Don't think so. Bad is bad and this one is ugly. Teenagers from outer space land to mix it up with teens from Earth. In black and white, this one should make today's audiences yearn for this type of filmmaking. Or should it? In an attempt to make movies, this era's producers thought most anything would make money. It had a 20,000 dollar budget after all. Suspensful, barely threatening, this one is for cult fans. Even given credit for the era this was made, it still suffers.
