Two young boys from very different backgrounds become friends in 1933 Stuttgart. However, they don't realize how different they are until much later as one is the son of a well-to-do Jewish doctor and the other the son of a German aristocrat. After that summer and the election of Hitler, things change as antisemitism gains fervor. After the core of the film deals with that era, the film flashes to the present and the Jewish man now returns to his boyhood home and seeks his old friend with some surprises.

Brandon W (it) wrote: Little Children is one of those films that I'm very excited to see it, but would not get a chance to watch it because either DirecTV doesn't have it, or Netflix. I managed to get to watch it because I found it in the city library, and after watching it, Little Children didn't disappoint me. I didn't really know much about what it's about when I saw the trailer, but now that I watch it, it's a bit of a small plot, but really kept me interested not only on what's going on, but on the characters too. The characters are very three-dimensional that you really see from their point of view about why are they doing this, even if it makes me mad at some of them for doing what they are doing. The film did a pretty good job at portraying dark side of what the life is these days in this world, and the writing by Todd Field and Tom Ferrotta is really good. Patrick Wilson is good in this, Kate Winslet is great which I can see why she was nominated for an Oscar, and the most surprising of them all, was Jackie Earle Haley who got nominated for an Oscar too. When I saw that, I was very curious to know why as I only saw him in Watchmen and that pointless remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, and he portrays it in a way that is different to other nominees or winners, and that is that he portray it in a very real way that felt the most human to me which I never thought that I feel sorry for a pedophile. I thought that Little Children is a fantastic movie that really shows that everyone is not perfect, and they have a little bit of a dark side.

Erin C (us) wrote: This movie could've been better. The switching back and forth was a little confusing. It was a little slow-moving - it felt longer than it was.

Ghiuli R (mx) wrote: This movie plays with the viewer's emotions exactly as a violin virtuoso would do with his instrument, the film is able to push the right buttons or rather knows which strings to pull. Anyway, this is one of the few movies when I was invaded by a lot of emotions and almost couldn't help the tears out of my eyes. The story of a young violinist that is brought up by a simple man is told with a lot of tenderness, without ever being soppy or melodramatic. Deeply moving and uplifting.

Matthew C (ag) wrote: A cool Victorian space adventure with typically cool Ray Harryhausen creature effects. Wells' tale of the first people to land on the Moon, and the things they find there, makes for a great companion to movies like Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959) or 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954). Lionel Jeffries is rip-roaring mad, too. Good stuff.

Rafael F (au) wrote: Powerful plot and soundtrack. Worthy to watch. But the ending would have been better if it was the alternate.
