(au) wrote: Hobo with a Shotgun is one of the most craziest movies I have ever seen, and it is a riot to watch. Good lord is it not subtle, and there's some parts that there was smarter ways to do this than that, but it does pack a punch though that succeeds it. Every minute something happens that just blows my mind, and it's really funny to watch. The villains are just madness and enjoyable to watch, and the characters are good. The fight scenes are exciting to watch, and the effects are impressive despite how over the top it is. Hobo with a Shotgun is one of those films that are not to be taken serious, and be a grind house film which it succeeds in being.

(kr) wrote: I thought this movie was very well done. Directed by James C. Strouse this film was a Sundance Film finalist, and for his first movie to ever direct, he did a great job. John Cusack was great in the movie. I found it interesting to see how his posture and character brought the story of Stanly alive. It was a really good movie, and I greatly enjoyed it. :)

(de) wrote: It succeeds in entertaining. I laughed at it only because it was so weird. It's a solid enough story but of course the CGI for Garfield himself is ABYSMAL. That's my only REAL complaint, however I will say that it could've been much shorter. There are several unnecessary scenes, like the part where THE FAT ORANGE CAT SINGS.
(ag) wrote: The Britannic was the sister ship of the RMS Titanic, and like her big sister before her, the ship sank. This a good made for TV film about the disaster and though a bit fictional, is a nonetheless well made film directed by famed Australian Exploitation director Brian Trenchard-Smith. Although there are noticeable weak points of the film, most notably its low production value, the subject was handled well, and it was an entertaining film for what it tried to be. The film is one that could have been better, but nonetheless it works well due to the fact that the real story behind the fiction is quite interesting, and it's what keeps you involved in enjoying this film. The cast do a fine job here, and overall despite its fictional take on the actual events, Britannic is worth seeing if you enjoy these types of movies. The film has its imperfection, and it lies solely on the fictional story, but the events itself of the disaster I found quite good and entertaining. If given a script rewrite, then maybe this would have been a better film. But considering the films limitations, Britannic is a film that isn't bad either, it just needed a script polish to really make it really work. But like every made for TV film, this film leaves a lot to be left unsaid about those events. At least the filmmakers managed to make an entertaining movie out of the story of Titanic's sister ship. If you're interested in the subject, this is worth a look, but be prepared for a dose of fiction mixed in with the real events, but of course that was done for a more dramatic effect, very much like what James Cameron did with the romantic storyline in his overly awful and overrated film Titanic.
(ca) wrote: Still my pick as "Worst Movie I have Ever Seen at the Theatre". A dreadful screenplay featuring characters who are impossible to sympathize with. I realize there is a place for movies about first-world problems but the crises of the elite during the outbreak of European Fascism depicted in Tea With Mussolini is laughable. If the subject interests you then try Cabaret instead.

(ag) wrote: A freak of nature movie. Director Brian DePalma succeeds at creating a world that's creepy and fantastical, but some of the direction feels rough around the edges, particularly some of the shaky, frantic camerawork at the end of the movie. I can understand some of the technical shortcomings, however, since this movie came out two years before DePalma really made a name for himself with "Carrie."

The story is about a london man looking for work but arive's hiding something about his past. Great action film but bear in mind it is a fim made in 1957 so CGI it aint...
(br) wrote: 74%Saw this on 20/3/15A lot lot enjoyable due to the fine chemistry and performances of Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts and a few of the twists( generic) in the films. After all the film was true about a few of it's conspiracies, like the Oliver Stone/George W Bush ( in 2008 Stone made W about the President of USA). The film's cliches make it a bit tiresome and also it's slightly overlong.
