Robin W (us) wrote: Italian B-movie director Luigi Cozzi, a.k.a. Lewis Coates, is known for making some pretty big pieces of junk throughout his career, so it's somewhat surprising that "Contamination" is... well, not good exactly, but pretty watchable. It gets off to a pretty rough start with a long opening sequence involving actors who speak while wearing bio-suits and masks, rendering most of their dialogue completely unintelligible, but things suddenly pick up once their chests explode! Yes, the movie's pretty much a cheap knockoff of "Alien", but the numerous chest exploding scenes are pretty cool and should please gore fans. The plot is silly, the acting is over-the-top and the dialogue is laughable, but the movie does have a typically funky Goblin score to keep things interesting, and it's hard to dislike a film where the female protagonist is trapped in a room with an alien egg and actually screams: "Help! Let me out! There's an egg!!".
