Abel D (fr) wrote: Poetic, graceful and engrossing, The Deep Blue Seais one of the great anti-love stories ever put to modern screens. The almostic hypnotic verbose is melded and bolstered by our two magnetic leads and very human leads.

Matt H (fr) wrote: A solid drama that just falls short of being something I can actually recommend. There's nothing wrong with the movie, besides maybe the inherent lack of chemistry between Witherspoon and Pattison. It's an atypical, typical story.

Iain L (us) wrote: The characters are bland, the story is dumb, the actors are awful and the entire idea of this film is bad.

Matt G (ru) wrote: this looks stupid just by looking at the poster

Ahmad J (es) wrote: I happen to have really liked this movie. I suppose some critics seem to seriously lack a sense of humour. It's actually one of the better Adam Sandler movies for me.

Ashley H (mx) wrote: White Hunter Black Heart is an amazing film. It is about a movie director who is obsessed with hunting a bull elephant while he's filming on location in Africa. Clint Eastwood and Jeff Fahey give incredible performances. The screenplay is well written. Clint Eastwood also did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture about the adventure and drama. White Hunter Black Heart is a must see.

Peter R (nl) wrote: This movie has a good story and all, but its mass amount of filler, lack of action scenes, average action and its slow pacing that make it a bit boring to watch. While it does have some cool moments, which are the ones where Fred Williamson's vigilante character and his buddies start hurting and killing bad guys, but these moments are few and far between. If u want to see a really good vigilante movie, don't see this one, go see either "Death Wish," or any othwe vigilante flick besides this one. 3.5/10

Ulvis Z (mx) wrote: It's an OK film, if you live through it. A parody of existence mixed with a few excellent songs and Katyn war footage. Try it.

Lynda M (nl) wrote: I probably enjoyed this film more than I should. When familiar with male ego interfering with human decency, I nodded through most of the points being shown. The sad part is, near 40 years later not much has changed.

Katie L (ca) wrote: Not the most entertaining 60s film I've seen.

Max M (ru) wrote: Made during Spanish surrealist filmmaker Luis Bunuel's tenure in Mexico, this picture is another example of the director's fascination/irritation with religion (his famous quote of "Thank God I'm an Atheist" pretty much sums up Bunuel's belief's and wry humor).Based on the exploits of ascetic Saint Simeon Stylites, who sat perched atop a pillar in the desert in order to prove his devotion to God, Bunuel's Simon (played by Claudio Brook) has been meditating for six years, six months and six days (recognize the numerical sequence?) and is soon tempted by the Devil (played by Silvia Pinal) in several different disguises.Bunuel has always seemed to view organized religion with a skeptic's eye, but he is clearly fascinated by the ritual of it all as well as human beings willing to subject themselves to taxing physical feats in order to express true devotion to collection of beliefs. But he also takes great pleasure in depicting the hypocritical nature of man and Christianity as well. And it is this duality that Bunuel examines. Here is a man who wholly devotes himself to God and the teachings of the Bible, yet here is a man whose life has been taken away from him because of his beliefs. The film is only a compact 45 minutes long (it was originally to be feature-length however financing ran out in the middle of filming, leaving Bunuel to hastily put together an ending) however within that 45 minutes is a wealth of spiritual and philosophical debate... as well as some good old Bunuel-ian surrealism.
