Although deeply in love with her boyfriend - and indeed sleeping in the same bed with him - a schoolteacher cannot handle the almost complete lack of intimacy he will allow. Increasingly frustrated, she gradually finds her sexual appetites leading her into ever more risky situations, including a developing one with the headmaster.

Their magic box of television, and by their magic words, their jingles, can cause everybody in the country to be thinking the same words and have the same banal thoughts all at exactly the same moment."

Lady D (it) wrote: Realistic acting and a harsh reflection of the gun culture amongst Britain?s youth in this time. The realism perhaps made the film lack a little excitement and as a result was failry slow moving at times, so although this is more of an average rating, it's acting is perhaps much better than that.

ANDERSON G (es) wrote: Spike Jonze has in his hands a complicated script by Charlie Kaufman, and it's amazing how it transforms this complex script, different, silly and seemingly almost infilmvel in a complete audio visual work (in narrative terms), but somehow the work not me handle, it is not the fault of the film, all Spike Jonzen movies are great, but none captivates me emotionally, and this is no different, as I said before, it seems something silly, which turns into a beautiful romance (outside the traditional ), but I can not untie that premise "Boba" with the rest of the film, maybe Spike should use more sound resource, since this film is missing a soundtrack at times, although the sound mixing is impeccable, photography, the characters and even the extras in the scene are emblematic, some characters have only one speaks in history, but realize their great personalities, and amazing scenery, remember the Schwartz couple's home or surrealistic company that Craig (John Cusack) works, the film also has a philosophy to present, we are stuck in our bodies, our lives are miserable, we are ambition of slaves (yes, remember Fight Club), which we would not give to be someone else even for fifteen minutes? Our lives are so bad that? I do not know, or Spike will know, because it only displays the question and does not delve into it. "Being John Malkovich" It's a good movie, do not expect nothing amazing, but I believe faithfully that depending on the person, her anger find "Being John Malkovich" your favorite movie because he has something to say, but it depends on the person understand and sympathize with him.Sorry for my English translator google.

Ilsa L (gb) wrote: Very engaging and apparently simple story of a man who is addicted to seducing women following indirect contact with them. Truffaut's storytelling is non-judgemental and more complex than it first appears.

Paul D (gb) wrote: Trashy post-apocalyptic boyish adventure film. The acting isn't great and the various life threatening scenes all overplayed, but there's a charm about it despite George Peppard's dodgy moustache.

Mloy X (jp) wrote: "How can a guy climb trees, say Me Tarzan, You Jane, and make a million?" - Johnny WeissmullerAnother wonderfully nostalgic film from the man that is and will forever be the embodiment of Tarzan (IMHO), Mr. Johnny Weismuller. This film like the previous one I just watched had a wonderful message and lesson about greed and how it would lead even the noblest of men astray. Same old storyline good triumphs evil and all that jazz. But I did, however, notice something I don't recall from having watched these films in my youth: Tarzan kills? I was shocked, especially during a seemingly more innocent time in Hollywood. I guess, I'm just so used to films being "Disney-fied" where the villain perishes by their own hand or carelessness or in some cases due to hero being in pursuit and unintentional causes them fall off the ledge, balcony, off a cliff, etc. But here, Tarzan throws a spear at a stooge, straight at his chest. He confronts two villains who stole relics from the temple until they walk back into quicksand (which would qualify as Disney-esque) except for the fact that Tarzan doesn't even attempt to rescue the villains; he just stands idly by and watch them sink. It just seems odd now-a-days when a hero would even rescue his arch-nemesis. I guess it's ok, as long as they were really bad guys.
