Brad S (it) wrote: - 2nd time watching, a guilty pleasure. Not a good movie, a poor script and bad weak performance from Aaron Paul almost sink it, but Imogen Poots and the cars are great, so I enjoyed watching this bad movie again. Skip it.- A weak script kills the one, but the cars are outstanding. Aaron Paul isn't a leading actor in my opinion, at least not with a script like this. It just doesn't work. Skip it!

Gordon H (br) wrote: The final chapter has begun!Originally written on November 26, 2010--Without the guidance and protection of their professors, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) begin a mission to destroy the Horcruxes, the sources of Voldemort's immortality. Though they must rely on one another more than ever, dark forces threaten to tear them apart. Voldemort's Death Eaters have seized control of the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts, and they are searching for Harry---even as he and his friends prepare for the ultimate showdown.I understand why the producers of the Harry Potter film saga split J.K. Rowling's classic novel into two films. There's so much material to cover, it would be utterly impossible to do it justice in just one film. Unfortunately, that means this chapter feels unresolved and incomplete. There is so much build-up to the final conclusion still to come that the ending of Part 1 almost feels like a "let-down." However, what this film does get right is the despair, loneliness, and sheer frustration that Harry, Ron, and Hermione go through as they attempt to hunt down and destroy the evil Lord Voldemort's horcruxes. It's not the final satisfying chapter in the saga, but it does set it up for what should be an amazing conclusion.

Rainer K (fr) wrote: The portrait of one of the greatest Austrian musicians of the 20th century. His colorful life is exceptionally embodied by Manuel Rubey who stars as Falco. The music is great as expected. Overall, the film depicts Falco's life in an honest and entertaining way. Moreover, the most memorable quotes of Falco are featured and delivered by Rubey in the right manor: "Waun se mir ana in weg stt, daun zind i ma a zigaretten au und blo erm afoch um" and "In Wien muasst erst sterben um zu leben... oba daun lebst laung"

Chris H (ag) wrote: Euro thriller that hints at Le Carre subterfuge and starts promisingly with Hitchcockian shenanigans on a train but by the end you are left baffled, bewildered and most tellingly, bored. None of the characters are particularly sympathetic (albeit Emmanuelle Devos makes for welcome eye candy), the pace of the film is best described as langurous and you wish a good editor had got their hands on it.

Jason T (au) wrote: Even though this movie reeks of back bacon, apparently it was filmed in Ohio. If you like cheesy looking zombies tearing out the throats of people who look like they belong in a 70's porn movie, then this is for you!

Thomas P (gb) wrote: A brilliant film, made so by its dispassionate pathos. It works as a nostalgia piece, but even moreso as an almost hagiographic witness to virtue in the midst of vice. It was no surprise to me to read that Malle worked with Bresson early in his career, as this shows in the avoidance of cliche, and in the under-acting beauty of the players. I was taken by the portrayal of a time now lost, with its flaws, yes, but moreso its beauty.
