Salem Witch Trials

Salem Witch Trials

The film recounts the sobering tale of how 19 innocent lives were taken in a community experiencing paranoid hysteria regarding the suspected - but unproved - presence of the occult in the small New England town.

A masterful work accurately details the current consensus of what exactly occurred to prompt the colonial witch-trials. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Daryl K (us) wrote: Manages to touch on everything in exploitation cinema from Edison to 'Hostel', but that's sort of the film's drawback, too -- it doesn't go in-depth into much. Still, with its abundance of great clips and interviews, 'American Grindhouse' makes a good primer for the uninitiated, and a fun look back for aficionados.

Peter P (au) wrote: A very uninspired fight movie. The acting is terrible, the fighting is pretty forgetable and the story is hard to watch for the most part. It gets 2 stars for having a few things that movies need, such as credits and I am pretty sure I saw a "Grip"s name listed, and some punches were thrown, although lamely. Overall, Skip it.

The UK DVD from Nucleus films is superb and created from the best elements available for this movie, the original negatives are thought lost and destroyed. It looks great and the film has an excellent creepy ambience about it. Top cheese.

As he approaches his thirteenth birthday, the demonic forces at work will stop at nothing to see the Antichrist rise to power, meaning death to all those who oppose him! The next thrilling chapter in THE OMEN series is an excellent continuation of Damien's story. Damien is just coming to understand his own powers, but he has not yet accepted the role of the destructor. As a budding adolescent, he is caught between the innocence of childhood and the unholy destiny that awaits him. Jonathan Scott-Taylor embodies these dual personas beautifully, allowing the audience to relate to the unfortunate circumstances that surround him though they despise the growing evil that dwells within him. This is only achieved through Don Taylor's deliberately slow pace and a character-driven story arch. Academy Award winner William Holden also offers a dignified performance as Richard Thorn, while Jerry Goldsmith returns with another powerful score. The scene is now set for the Antichrist to come to full power in THE OMEN 3: FINAL CONFLICT.
