Satorare is about the lives of "Transparents" - people who telepathically broadcast their every thought to anybody in a 10m radius. Because having everybody know your inner thoughts would be terminally embarrassing, Japanese society passes a law that Transparents must never be told of their affliction. They're moved into special cities where everybody is instructed to act as if the person is totally normal... it's worth going to such lengths because Transparents invariably have massive IQs and have produced many useful things for society. The result is a Truman Show-esque situation where everybody around Transparent Masanobu Ando has to act completely normal. A psychiatrist is sent into the city to observe Masanobu Ando and attempt to divert his attentions away from surgery (his desired career) to a more socially beneficial career in research. She learns how hard life is for him, and for some reason falls in love with him... . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki
"Satorare" - The patient of disease indicating the symptom that every thought becomes the pneumatron wave, and spreads in the neighborhood. They don't know their own disease for the suicide...

Richard Thomas G (es) wrote: For a full review see what I posted under the original edition. The added footage was interesting. It still meanders a bit, but I have enjoyed it greatly. I have actually watched this edition several times. Not sure why I can watch this over and over and over and I haven't watch the LOTR films as much even though I like those books marginally better than the Hobbit. Would love to see the 18 movies Peter Jackson would have to make to get The Silmarillion on film. :D
Jess L (br) wrote: An interesting and ultimately depressing movie that was at times hard to watch. The story of a family who have grown apart as they grow older isn't exactly an overly original idea, in fact nothing in this film is fresh or original, except for the scene where the rabbi is yelling at the comatose mother - that was pretty funny. Regardless of whether this film treads old ground, it is still an interesting and enlightening film to watch. Sally Field is amazing as the dying mother, at times you can't help but get a lump in your throat when she's on screen, truly an amazing actress. With her death being inevitable the audience plays a waiting game to see how it will play out. The banter between the four children, and at times their spouses is on the whole entertaining black comedy, but nothing in this film raises it above a good film that will mostly likely fly under the radar and in time be forgotten.

Lucia S (br) wrote: The first time I saw this movie as a young teenager, I thought it was one of the most romantic movies ever. In retrospect, I might have been a little to melodramatic. Granted, the storyline and acting were good, but for the 100 minutes of actual movie time, the movie sorely lacked substance. The biggest mystery was how a father would let his daughter "trade" herself for his debts or how a man would randomly pick a woman to father his child. The story connected from points A to B at times seemed overly simplified, but then again the film was limited time wise. It's an okay movie that could have been a lot better. Dillane and Marceau have quite good chemistry and that makes this love story more entertaining.

Its like marinated meat older the better. He's the bird man a ruthless murderer who kills those who cross him, and end up confined in the worst place of the prison the hole. For years he's never seen much light and when given the previlage, the only thing he could see was the sky. until one day a bird falls from a tree. He sneaks it in and desides They'd become cell mates.Soon after learning 1/2 A dozen languages and reading thousand of books on Birds he became a famous Bird healer. and was rewarded all the birds he'd like. until things went wrong and he clashed with the wardon and guards, in a second everything he prided himself on was gone.this movie is fascinating. And so is the bird man some claim he was a cold manipulative killer others say he had the heart of gold and killed for passion and pain. you deside.
Nathaniel R (jp) wrote: Dumbo is a classic movie with a heartwarming lesson at the center, but the message isn't enough to save it from some of its lesser qualities. With songs that are catchy at best but mostly forgettable like "When I See an Elephant Fly" and "Baby Mine" and a decent portion of the movie dedicated to watching Dumbo get wasted and hallucinate about pink elephants, it seems like the movie just doesn't live up to the rest of the Disney classics. One of the shortest Disney films, it's a tightly wound movie that inspires some emotion but ultimately takes a while to get to the good parts; Dumbo only takes flight for about 15 minutes at the end and most of it is in the company of some decidedly racist crows.
Mike L (kr) wrote: The critics seem to be a little hard on this as the audience obviously likes Just Before I Go. Worth seeing although a bit off in a few parts, but mostly a good time.
Jeff C (jp) wrote: Quite certainly the lamest dialogue since "Plan Nine from Outer Space". Wooden acting, comical FX. Filmed in Utah and still the scenery was uninspiring. I was certain my wife would abandon it; fear this might signal the onset of dementia. The only thing that could make this worse is Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger.
