Rico F (nl) wrote: I have to admit I am a bit of a documentary buff. However this one exceeded my expectations. There are some documentaries that are interesting at first but than after the first hour become rather monotonous with repeated information, but this one maintained interest level throughout. Very well structured documentary as if it were a video-game with different levels and objectives. The tone was tongue-in-cheek and as long as the audience is aware of this, provides very valuable messages. The fact that there were heavyweight celebrities that were interviewed such as 50 Cent and Eminem certainly added weight to its message. A must watch.

Adam S (ag) wrote: An all-star Western adventure, "Silverado" drags on a little bit past it's used by date, but begins and ends well. With a cast that includes Kevin Kline, Scott Glen, Kevin Costner and Danny Glover, with a supporting cast including Rosanna Arquette, John Cleese, Jeff Goldblum, Linda Hunt and Brian Denehhey, you get the brilliant performances that you'd expect.Coming into this film, one of the few aspects I'd heard about was the breakout performance by a young Kevin Costner, and while he was impressive, I was more impressed by Scott Glenn as Coster's elder brother. Glenn exhibits almost an Eastwood level of coolness and badass rolled into one.The middle section, where Kline works for Hunt in a saloon for most of the scenes, stretched on a little bit, perhaps too long for the amount of character developement that actually happened. But earlier scenes, such as the ones spent avoiding John Cleese, and the final climax, is good enough to make you forget that middle section.Overall, a decent Western.
Harry W (kr) wrote: A sturdy reprisal of an all too familiar premise and subtle, above-par performances are both pulverised into a pulp of annoying special effects and a boring and depressing tone. The film starts good and wobbles slightly towards a satisfactory conclusion.
