Well...what a pity, because on a movie like this I surely had some interesting thoughts, and considering I write this reviews more for me than for the others, it's bad I didn't put them on paper. Anyway, an incredible sci-fi movie, with a story that you will surely enjoy if you like the genre.

Tim M (ca) wrote: "Crash" but with immigration tying all the LA tales together. "The script is occasionally heavy-handed, but its range of immigration experiences is impressive and the storytelling is both engaging and provocative." "Writer-director Wayne Kramer gets uniformly terrific performances from a fine cast playing pawns in the game of sex, violence and betrayal that diminishes the noble tradition of naturalized citizenship."

Jake A (es) wrote: An improvement over the first film purely because we get see Middle-Earth be expanded upon with new characters and additional world building while also improving upon the action with an epic battle at Helm's Deep. The production, the score, the script, the direction and the cinematography are all kept to a high standard and quite frankly it only suffers from what the first film did in terms of being open ended coupled with a lackluster ending.

Never down-and-out, Harold's spunky attitude fuels his confidence and his comedy. Of course, what was probably most poignant about this film was that little has changed when it comes to college. Perhaps the quote from this film sums it up best: "a large football stadium with a college attached".

Rob G (gb) wrote: most people will prob think it's corny but this was made during the black explotation era.

Bobbie F (mx) wrote: One of my favorite comedies of all time. Robert Townsend really was ahead of his time. It was funny as hell but it also gave insight on what it was like (to an extent it probably still is) for African American and Latino American actors in terms of the roles they were offered in hollywood films. Sneaking into the movies and the Cookie Head Jenkins murder were the best skits to me. " Pass that over to Jheri...Curl, Curl, do the Jheri Curl!!!!."
