Score: A Hockey Musical

Seventeen-year old Farley (Noah Reid) has the stick-handling skills of the next Sidney Crosby. Not that Farley has any idea who Crosby is. He’s led a sheltered life, homeschooled by parents (Olivia Newton-John and Marc Jordan) whose idea of homework is trips to an art gallery or ashram. His best friend is Eve (Allie MacDonald), the girl who’s lived next door since they were both three. Much to the dismay of his parents, Farley loves to play shinny with the local rink rats (Dave Bidini, Hawksley Workman et al.). To their even greater dismay, Farley is signed to a major hockey league, where he achieves instant stardom, throwing him into a world of hype. Farley soon finds that hockey fame comes with a price, including the expectation to fight. Throw in a changing relationship with Eve – and Farley is losing his way.

Melissa D (au) wrote: I'd give a review but I fell asleep! Very slow moving. Needs more action!! Only watched half of it.

Lisa (nl) wrote: I saw this in a theater where I was the only patron, sat in the middle of the place and lol'd and sang along with all the songs. Loved it!

Aaron H (ca) wrote: A fine one by Meadows

Don S (de) wrote: Crazy, quirky, dark fun! Vaughn's laugh is hilarious! The beginning is much better than the rest!

Dyron W (ru) wrote: One of the funniest 90s movies to this date.

Sean C (mx) wrote: The less amazing but still impressive younger brother of Taxi Driver. Great acting and script, but a HORRIBLE, inappropriate soundtrack.

Grayson W (br) wrote: A very moving story of an orphaned sister and brother trying to survive in 1945 Japan. Reminded me a bit of Forbidden Games.

Gav R (jp) wrote: why not five stars? the awful porn style music. Storyline is superb, acting is made sublime by the late John Wood and Rumpole

Nichele W (us) wrote: not the same as the one w/Prince... I'll pass

Jon A (ru) wrote: Jamie Lee looks sensational, as does Henner's chest. Nice story which starts as an expose of health clubs as the new singles bars but moves to condeming the probing press for exposing stories which are really none of their business.
