Separate Volume

It isn’t that strange, that no two surfers have the same exact approach to a wave. It is an extension of character and everyone is different. In the making of Separate Volume, the intention was to show how each member of the team is unique. A lot of our surfers have never been spotlighted or even seen outside of a magazine, so this was their chance to shine. The movie also delves deeper into surfers that you have seen hundreds of times but still know nothing about. Nathan Fletcher has voices in his head that make him travel the globe and surf to a different tune. In typical Hawaiian style, Dustin Barca had to fight for everyone’s respect and it is undeniable in his surfing. You will see Brent Dorrington, who at 17 has that natural surfing style that echoes a young Tom Curren. Chris Ward’s unbridled power and mix of wild abandon produces spontaneity in every aspect of his surfing and his life.

Andrew M (au) wrote: Toy Story 2 is another brilliant Pixar movie. The reason why I don't give it five stars is because I don't think Toy Story 2 surpasses the original Toy Story. But still, Toy Story 2 takes you outside the world of Pixar Animation and shows you tons of new features. Toy Story 2 has tons of laughs and will make you smile. I would very much suggest this movie.

Noel K (us) wrote: A good historical drama (costumes, sets, story) about the crazy French and their issues with religion and power. Sourced from real events but based on Alexandre Dumas, pre's novel La Reine Margot, it is an entertaining film. sans the gratuitous salacious scenes with Vincnet Perez ( La Mle) and Isabelle Ajani (Margaret of Valois, "Queen Margot).

Antonio T (nl) wrote: Loca, divertida y absurda.

Daryl K (jp) wrote: Charming but kind of dated romantic comedy, with Jimmy Stewart as a spineless botany professor who tries to break his whirlwind marriage of a nightclub singer (Rogers) to his family. Apparently, the leads were an item when this film was made, and they do make convincing doe-eyes at one another. Rogers, too, is good in many of the comedy scenes. For me, Stewart's entire fumbling persona has always been grating, so I might've liked 'Vivacious Lady' a bit more if he wasn't in it.

Larry C (ag) wrote: One of the amazing things about Curb Your Enthusiasm is the way they are able to juggle multiple jokes and story arcs during the course of each episode/season, and masterfully make everything come full circle by the end. This has a lot of good performances and cameos, but a lot of the jokes fall flat and the overall cohesiveness of the movie is nothing like what Curb fans have come to expect from LD. The concept is good, but the story kind of stalls and it ends in a way that leaves a lot to be desired. The efforts used to make this movie would have been so much better placed if it were towards another season of Curb rather than this movie.
