Henry G (br) wrote: Celebration Day was an amazing show in several respects, worthy of multiple stars, too many to count, as many as the tears that eventually ran dry. These elders of the craft came back from the brink to deliver one last performance, to instruct us. Jimmy page was as fluid and flawed as ever, but finally I understood his genius. At once bullfighter and madman, his tone and attack remained perfectly on the mark until he decided to destroy it, with glee. Before I was distraught by this abandonment of order, but now that I've grown, and learned the guitar, these lost moments - the wild tempest brought out of its slumber by his mighty wah, slide, violin bow, theremin - only just held and check - are routinely called to manifest in a furious cacophony, then again tamed, slapped and coddled. These displays of wizardry break through the standing waves, leaving us to sort things out afterward. Recognizing the thing for what it was, I'm now convinced that these "artists" were, for me, the first break from the norm, the hairline crack in my illusory world that eventually fell through. These God's of my musical universe, whom I never had the chance to see live, a faded unfathomable myth who slumbered all of my adult years with ring wraiths and flowers in their hair, weren't content to lumber in the past. This was a resurrection, a final act, the magic recreated with modern equipment from a thousand angles; their gift to the world, the depth and beauty of the medium taken to its absolute end. How many stars?

Gregory v (us) wrote: Absolutely fantastic...Molly Parker is brilliant...John Hawkes is, as always great...kudos to Julia Dyer for this incredible film. Bravos to all the kids!

Adam S (ca) wrote: The constant references to Hitler and the Nazis was tiresome and over the top. There was tremendous lack of balance as Evolutionists were ridiculed for a theory that aliens seeded life on Earth, but it somehow makes more sense that a divine being did the same thing. Ben Stein showed a lot of ego throughout this film by making himself important. The only redeeming factor was the daylighting of issues pertaining to possible persecution of dissent in the scientific community.

Paul P (ag) wrote: In spirit of the Olympics, here is a movie about Curling. Perhaps the only film about Curling. Thank goodness it is a good one. It is sort of formulaic with the plot but still enjoyable. Rent this one for a relaxing evening.

Ethan P (nl) wrote: About Schmidt is slow and not as strange as I expected, but Jack Nicholson is great in the lead role and there are many moments that are genuinely funny and relatable.

Josas G (ca) wrote: Revolucionaria en cuanto a realismo visual pero la historia es barata y el final absurdo repito visualmente es de lo mejorque se vio en su momento pero yo recomiendo mejor Adven children

scott g (de) wrote: a interesting 80s french drama, with a strong performance from the lead, a woman found dead in a ditch and through flashbacks of various people she met on her journey we see how it came to be, its by no means perfect, but a interesting enough point of view and telling of story keeps it interesting

Kevin P (ag) wrote: Bravo! a lovely ending!
