Dave J (it) wrote: Friday, December 16, 2011 (2008) From Within' HORROR Straight-to-rental starts off with teenage boy shoots himself on front of his girlfriend, then the next scene shows her running into town to her dad's store seeking refuge unbeknowist whatever it is that is chasing her on a clear day, then she's eventually killed a few minutes later with no witnesses or a single trace about how it happened leading to more killings motivating the female teenage protagonist to find out how and why and the film dwells on this concept! (Spoiler warnings) As the film progresses coming across with some outcasts with one of the other teens who was bullied, it was soon discoverd that him and his sister and the brother who killed himself at the beginning started a hex/ curse on the town who antagonized them for being indifferent and not being part of their Christian faith which the town is deep on and the female protagonist later found out! Well made and you can watch it for it's original concept but I didn't care for it for I like my horror films to have happy endings! 2 out of 4 stars
