Mike S (br) wrote: I can see why they waited years before releasing this, cause it ain't a great movie. However, the body horror stuff in the last 20 minutes is top notch, and I recommend this to any horror hound.

Joel M (gb) wrote: REWATCH***** Excellent Took another viewing of the "Sixteen Candles" and this gem is as great as when I first watched it as a 16 year old teen while going to Southwest Miami Senior High. "Sixteen Candles" does not blow at all. The great, late John Hughes suburban teen comedy is a wonderful representation of teen life in the 80's as he showed us also with "The Breakfast Club". Molly Ringwald was great as the lead teen Samantha, and Anthony Michael Hall was hilarious as the geek. So get your geek on with another turn at those "Sixteen Candles".

John O (ca) wrote: Paul Le Mat is hilarious in this quriky comedy directed by Jonathan Demme. Jason Robards as well gives a solid performance as Howard Hughes, Good times....

Waleed A (ag) wrote: this was a pretty dumb movie. lots of questionable parts and stuff to make fun of. the only good thing was Bruce Willis being his usual awesome self, and I thought the kid did a good job. Alec Baldwin played a horrible villain. it was exciting at times but the way some of the scenes were done was just so bad. SPOILERSthe bank scene in the beginning when the son got shot, the SWAT guy unloaded like 25 rounds into him. it was so overdone. by that same logic, the scene where Willis slammed on the breaks in the van, he was breaking for like 20 seconds, hitting like 15 things on the way. it doesn't take that long to stop. the "final battle" scene was flawed in too many ways to describe (1 viewing)
