Dave C (au) wrote: Odd small film of the play of the book has a writer (who looks rather like Polanski) at the end of a day auditioning women for the role of Vanda taken by surprise by a woman called Vanda who slowly reveals herself as being fully familiar with the play as well as perhaps asking if the writer is writing about himself, where reality and fiction meet and the nature of performance.Very well acted and that holds the interest easily.Well worth catching at home.

Sylvester K (jp) wrote: This is beyond bad, but in a schlocky way. Nothing original here, just repeated dialogues, cliched plot and typical character archetype.

Jason M (mx) wrote: I had such high expectations for this documentary given the critic ratings. Nothing could have been more of a disappointment. Again, I was left thinking more about the pervasive "groupthink" of critics, professional and amateur alike, versus independent thinking. Just because this film is about a couple of ghetto youngsters, does not automatically earn it a masterpiece rating. The film simply follows two Chicago boys following a common pursuit of making the pros. This could have been done for a couple of Canadian kids following their NHL dreams, Brazilian kids following their soccer heroes or kids in Nebraska dreaming to play baseball in the Majors. There is very little narration and guidance leaving the viewer to watch the story unfold over the years. Neither kid makes it. So what? I did not feel empathy towards either boy, because the producers did nothing to build that in the story. Yes, I feel bad about poverty, but I've seen much better documentaries about that subject that really hit home...and no, they are not from Michael Moore.i would never recommend this documentary to anyone.

Carlos M (mx) wrote: This classic landmark of huge advance and innovation in animation is an amazing roller coaster that blends so well a lot of entertaining adventure and delightful humor, while its main strength definitely lies in the endless charisma of its unforgettable characters.

Reese C (es) wrote: Started off as a funny concept, but quickly spiraled into an intense combination of poorly timed jokes, awkwardness and adolescent toilet humor. I've seen better writing in the comment sections of Pornhub.

Bill B (au) wrote: Two Americans inexplicably meet in the wilds of Australia, then run afoul of a serial killer who's working the lonely back roads in search of victims.Keach and Curtis are very charming in their roles, especially Keach as the quiet trucker who spends his days narrating his life and talking to his only companion, a German Sheperd.Good flick, it also features a bizarro 'chase' sequence in which the 18 wheeler Keach is driving virtually destroys a small town as he follows the killer into areas where the quarters become increasingly tight.Well worth a look, give it a rental.
