Sterlin R (nl) wrote: After about a year since the movie was released, I finally stumbled upon it via Netflix and decided to give it a shot... I was not at all disappointed. There were quite a few references to previous episodes and even a couple things I have always wanted to see as a fan that finally happened in the film! I had my share of laughs and even a few "Aw" moments that kept the movie fresh throughout, leaving no room for me to claim that I was bored or even regretted watching. However, the movie did seem to be going a bit fast at times. Other than that, "Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension" is a great example of how films based off of television shows should be: Made primarily for the people who watch it and for those who don't watch it to become interested in it.

Adrianna M (ca) wrote: Despite its formulaic premise, there's something about 'Danny Deckchair' that quite simply works. Perhaps it's the sheer incredibility of the events depicted, the bringing of fate into the equation (always a charming trick) or the numerous endearing quirks. Whatever it might be, the chemistry between the leads is undeniable. Ifans has this engaging quality about him, and Otto is an awesomely able actress, radiant and a pleasure to look at. The earth didn't move, but this one sure makes for some pleasant viewing.

Ashley H (mx) wrote: The Black Swan is a wonderful film. The cinematography is excellent and well done. The sets and costumes are incredible. Tyrone Power and Maureen O'Hara give remarkable performances. The screenplay is well written. Henry King did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed this motion picture because of the adventure and history. The Black Swan is highly recommended.

Dann M (de) wrote: Mel Brooks delivers a loving homage to the classic Universal Monster Movies with the hilarious Young Frankenstein. Mainly drawn from the first three Frankenstein films (especially Son of Frankenstein), the story follows Dr. Frankenstein's grandson Frederick, who inherits the family estate and discovers his grandfather's private journal which contains the secret to re-animating life. Starring Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Teri Garr, and Madeline Kahn, the film has a strong cast; Wilder in particular is outstanding, really nailing the comedy. And Brooks does a brilliant job at emulating the classic look and feel of old Hollywood films. Yet the humor can be a little broad and overly slapsticky at times. Still, Young Frankenstein is incredibly fun and delivers a lot of laughs.
