Rylan P (de) wrote: I liked the idea of "Groundhog Day" but as a thriller. Makes you think of what you would do with out the consequences of tomorrow. It's is a decent Canadian thriller with engaging twists and turns but at times the pace is too slow.

Jim S (fr) wrote: One of the few movies where I wished the ending was cliche. It reminded me of the 2001 ending sequence, but lasting for over 2 hours. While fascinating, it became exhausting.

Sausages M (au) wrote: Existentialist nonsense, but amusing enough. Didn't reckon the ending, and the writer story was so old it could have come from the bible. We've all heard that one before. Gemma Jones is the best thing in it, and her tale is the only one that goes anywhere. So why 3 stars? That sounds like 2, right? Well, sometimes the journey is better than the destination, and in here somewhere is a great film. Obviously this was just to keep him limber whilst he thought about and wrote the brilliant Midnight In Paris. Okay, now I think of it I'm going to take away half a start for that ending. I hate giving Woody films a low mark, but just another 15 minutes and you could have given all the stories better conclusions. In fact, I myself could rewrite that penultimate scene in the hospital and made it a lot darker, if clich. It's not like the rest of the film was scared of clichs outside of the Gemma Jones one. Missed opportunity.

Tim E (it) wrote: The premise really interested me, but it was just as dull and convoluted as I feared. It tried way too hard to constantly have the "shock factor", leaving a miserable mess.

Aalaap G (gb) wrote: A pretty average not-so-rom com, but bad performances and French Stewart ruined it for me. However, Bridgette Wilson and Tyra Banks are a treat for the eyes!

One injured party may be wishing he was left in Cuba, where the health care is free, when he gets his medical bill back in the US. I hope he has Blue Cross.

Mark M (au) wrote: Excellent movie for it's time and ilk. Larry Cohens writing skills shine in this twisty cop and killer match. The movie only suffers more from the 80's type soundtrack and the campy shoot outs and edits that plagued many movies of the period.

Richard M (it) wrote: Some Came Running takes place just after the war, and we are presented with family division, drinking, gambling, repression, sexuality and the Playboy male. Many would think this would result in a good film, but the one emotion of Frank Sinatra kills the mood. Dean Martin puts in a fantastic performance, as does the always wonderful Shirley MacLaine, but watching the film, we're supposed to see an emotional and distinct change in Dave (Sinatra), but it doesn't happen. It is a shame, as the storyline is strong, but again has a rushed ending. Sloppy dialogue in places, but the story line and co-stars keep this going.

Nilufer R (us) wrote: Yeah this was a waste of time. It was actually obvious that this would be a predictable romantic drama and it didn't disappoint but the worst part was the horrible acting.
