Cameron J (nl) wrote: An overlooked, misunderstood, and under-appreciated thriller that was one of 2014's hidden gems. Written by Damien Chazelle, it's a deft, exciting thriller that not only has us as nervous as Elijah Wood's character, but also manages us to keep us entertained even when the twist has been dealt with.

Matty S (es) wrote: This film should not work, but it does. This is largely due to the two performances by the lead actors. Hoffman and Thompson are great together.

For the talk about these waters being important to a poor local fishing village, you never do see a trace of any fishing going on. Could be why the village is so poor.
Cle S (nl) wrote: An interesting psychographic study that isn't as sexy as I thought it would be, but still interesting. French diva Catherine Deneuve gives a great performance in her breakthrough role as a sexually frustrated housewife that ends up in a brothel. The dream scenes are distinctive for surrealistic film-making, but all in all the graphic depiction is rather conventional and therefore bearable for every movie fan.

Shawn P (de) wrote: This remake of "House on Sorority Row from the early 1980's" is not half as cheesy as the original was. Although it was a good B movie for it's time it wasn't memorable at all. The remake is gore, tits, and screaming. It actually reminded me alot of a 2009 version of Slumber Party Massacre! I like horror movies and i enjoyed watching this movie, even though the deaths were predictable i did jump out of my seats once. The humor was good too at times from the lead bitch of the Sorority House. Rumer Willis was annoying, crying and whining all through the movie, it's unfortunate she's so ugly and looks like a potato head (literally) LOL Worth seeing if not in the theater then at least on DVD
