Johnny T (br) wrote: Quick Change starts out fast and loose - it gets the audience primed for a ripsnorting caper comedy. Yet almost nothing that follows is as clever, as surprising, or as casually anarchic as that nifty opening sequence. Murray himself served as codirector, and though he doesn't do anything terribly wrong, the movie lacks comic zest. Behind the lens Murray has an uneven touch (or perhaps his co-director does), and Quick Change is given to slow moments and miscalculations. But in front of the camera, he is as wonderfully acerbic as ever, equal parts anger and hurt feelings as he grapples with the rot of the Apple, the roar of subway, the smell of the crowds. As a screenplay -- as a story -- Change is a silly mess. But the main reason to watch Change is for Murray, of course. And no matter what formulaic claptrap is around him, he always redeems it with something comic. Despite the fact that Change lags and lopes along toward an inevitable, trite conclusion, it also leaves itself wide open for funny moments. Neither ambitious nor particularly memorable, but it's brought off with a sly flair that makes it most enjoyable. VERDICT: "In The Zone" - [Mixed Reaction] These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. Wagner N (br) wrote: The innocence of childhood is contrasted with the world around and its tragedies. Death and sexuality are the main themes of this movie. Even the difference between adults from the big city and the ones from the small town are well explored.

Paul C (us) wrote: Horrible acting. The story was really stupid and not very entertaining. The movie was pretty short. The scarecrows were not that scary. The only cool part was when Jack became a scarecrow. He looked pretty cool. But her was not there long.
