Ugi S (jp) wrote: Simple tale with satisfied execution, The Kid with A Bike is deeply inspiring film about the power of random act of kindness. The whole of those things geniusly wrapped by Dardenne's original style which makes this drama more attractive and realistic.

Dann M (ca) wrote: Based on the hit comic book series, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies brings together two of DC's biggest properties in an exciting adventure. When Lex Luthor is elected President of the United States he tries to bring superheroes under the control of the government, but when Superman refuses he's setup for a crime that he didn't commit and is branded as an outlaw. Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy, Clancy Brown, and CCH Pounder reprise their characters from the Justice League series, and deliver solid performances. The animation is the best it's ever been, and is especially crisp and vivid. Thrilling and action packed, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies continues the Justice League continuity and is fun and entertaining.

Shantel D (br) wrote: Wow, this was just terrible. Not in that funny B movie way either... this was more like a D movie, with puppet sex. I can't believe this was made in '05!! It has that late 80's early 90's feel (and look) to it.

Alex A (br) wrote: I'll admit that Kingsley and Connelley deliver strong performances as usual, but "House of Sand and Fog" is genericly directed melodrama that's more concerned with attempting to jerk the tears forcefully out of it's audiences eye sockets instead allowing the dramatic elements to flow naturally. The drama just feels way to overblown and too forced to be realistic or affecting in anyway. Jennifer Connelley's character was also extremely unlikeable and made a poor protagonist because of how difficult it was to invest in the character. Overall, too cheesy and over-indulgent and lacking in subtlety.

James H (ru) wrote: 4.5/10. What a boring movie. It's about a bunch of unpleasant people (mobsters) doing a lot of unpleasant things, leading to an unpleasant film experience. Cliche ridden, slow moving and not very interesting. The acting is pretty good though.

Michael D (ag) wrote: I enjoyed this mob versus common man movie. I wondered where that line "I could have been a contender" was from, now I know. Brando at his best.

Matt M (br) wrote: The most effective of the old documentary styles, and along with Berlin Symphony of a Great City, the masterpiece of the city symphony movie. This one has more focus on the filmmaking technique itself, and as such makes an amazingly revolutionary and inventive use of the analogical editing techniques, treating the cameraman as its main character rather than a member of the crew. A stylistic documentary which helped expand the definition of the genre, the influence of Vertov's film on later works of cinema and beyond is incredibly vivid.

Bradley W (nl) wrote: European Vacation does not live up to the other Vacation films (exluding Vegas) and feels messy and without heart. It has some funny moments, but overall does not make the best use of its cast.
