Jonathan B (fr) wrote: This movie was interesting on one level and one level only - to point towards philosophical questions which are raised within the very existential nature of humanity's being. This movie fails though on its conceptual message - the professor is brilliant, and the students in the class fail in their very actions to recognize that. In short, this movie prevails as the clear dominating ideal of what not to do, and by suggesting otherwise brings down every relating perception which the movie pushes as actualizing promise. This movie would be better redone, with a new presenting image and message - that philosophy guides and shapes future actions by its tantalizing concepts, even if those very thoughts are what make humanity suffer to succeed.

Luke B (nl) wrote: Susanne Bier is one of the greatest directors ever. Simple as that. Her films deal with issues, but always with a fresh perspective. In A Better World has a young boy called Christian who has just lost his mother, return to Denmark. He joins a new school where he soon makes friends with a boy who is being bullied. Christian allows his anger to take hold, and events soon spiral out of control. The theme of bullying may seem like something best saved for after school specials, but Bier shows bullying in all its forms, from the playground, to grown ups, to African warlords. Questioning anger, revenge, and human rights, makes this a multi-layered film which is just begging for discussion. The performances are magnificent across the board and each character has a very well structured arc. With so much going on it would be easy for the film to trip over itself, but it never does. Touching, inspirational, and quite possibly life changing. In A Better World could honestly make the world a better place.

Phillip D (br) wrote: After the Wedding is difficult to watch at times and has its fair share of European boredom. Despite this, the film is a powerful movement of art, emotion and relationship and the director has found an impressive way to spin the family issues so often reduced to stereotypes in modern filmmaking. Mikkelsen really turns in a gravitating performance here as well.

Ray T (kr) wrote: An archival movie that has not aged well. A story about religious faith where the devil seems to thrive among the nuns and the priest sent to deal with this is unable to come to terms with this overt power that appears to over power God. At one point, he even seeks out the counsel of the town rabbi. I found the faith issues brought forth in the film to be boring and pedantic.

Akin J (fr) wrote: This is a classic. It honest have a few good actors in it, but it try to hard to make it seem like weed make you mad that it's fall flat and silly. I lost focus to be honest in the beginning but as the movie picked up, I was having fun. I would watch this again for the hell of it.

Joshua L (ca) wrote: This has a really good story to it but A remake that would be more accurate and graphic as the book would be fucking awesome!

Will B (fr) wrote: I enjoyed this film fallen was great megatron was weak

Kyle M (br) wrote: Probably the most ridiculous and silly, cheesy-looking adaptation of Marvel Comics when it's just a duck from a different home world just living on ours. The filmmakers should've stick to their first plan of having this as an animated film. But besides all that, the titular character does have his moments to make this slightly enjoyable.
