(nl) wrote: GREAT film!Hard to believe that in 2008, segregation was still occurring. The level of some peoples' stupidity & ignorance never ceases to amaze me though. Kudos to Freeman, Saltzman, and Charleston's graduating class of 2008 for bringing this to light.(Not only was the film well done, and an eye opener, but I was fortunate to hear Paul Saltzman speak both before and after the screening.)
(ca) wrote: Great movie. It's funny, smart, a great satire on both zombie films and the society of the fifties. By incorporating zombies into the film, it almost acts as symbolism of the inequality during the time period, as well as the male characters' response to the female characters' independence and strong-mindedness. The script is clever and the performances are great, especially Connelly as the title character.
