As someone who: 1) is an atheist and 2) spent some time living in a Christian household who regularly goes to the church, I loved how it playfully mimicked Christians behavior. It's an average comedy drama with a formulaic storyline. It plays very safe, but it has some really good laughs. Believe Me is predictable, but not an awful movie. Generic, unmemorable, but funny.

(fr) wrote: A crude and rude Canadian Comedy-Horror Rape-Revenge / Slasher flick that is in the tradition of exploitation classics such as Last House on the Left or I Spit on Your Grave, but with a healthy dose of sick humour that wouldn't be out of place on the Troma label. Features an almost 9 minute rape scene, gratuitous gore and nudity and apparently 665 'Fucks' earning it the title of most profane non-pornographic narrative film of all time. The term non-pornographic is kind of misleading though as this film does have some pretty fucking pornographic content, mixed with sadistic violence and I'm not even refering to the rape scene. Yeah, obviously not going to be for all tastes but if you like crass, immature, sleazy and in-bad-taste kinda filth then this is a must see. Not sure what to think of Ryan Nicholson as he does seem to be enjoying the sadistic sexual violence on display here, much more so than filmmakers responsible for the Rape Revenge films of the past. But fuck it, I thought this was a great time. Much more grindhouse than Hobo with a Shotgun, Machete, Planet Terror or Death Proof combined.
