Arnaud L (it) wrote: To is not the director for such a panasian blockbuster. His style doesn't fit the (uninspired) concept. He manages to offer a few nice scenes though. The acting is either wooden (sorimachi) either over the top (Andy). It's always fun to hear Simon speak english!

Dnd H (nl) wrote: An instant classic and must see for all ages! With an incredible cast and story, this movie could very well be the best of it's kind.

Is it simply just a case of mass hysteria, bought on by people WAY too easily roused by montages of men working out and then hitting each other in the head??? I'll admit it's unintentionally hilarious at times though. Why does he fight Hulk Hogan again??? Seriously......WHY? And no way is "Exhibition Fight for charity" an even remotely acceptable answer. And I swear there is some homo-erotic stuff happening here, whether consciously intentional or not.

Wes S (br) wrote: A very silly film that makes little sense and has uninteresting characters. The story came from no where and I have no idea who thought this would be a good idea. The MST3K version is a holiday classic.

Brian C (mx) wrote: Despite some real hammy and clumsy acting, Purple Rain is pretty good. The story of the Kid is interesting, and often sad.

Matt L (ag) wrote: This was surprisingly engaging and gorgeously shot.
