Tushar S (kr) wrote: All the hype around this documentary when you are a vegetarian didn't convince me at first to watch this documentary. Recently, when a friend visited Japan and brought back a selfie at this restaurant took my intrigue to another level. Watching Jiro perform making a sushi is like watching a symphony. There is great amount of grace, poise and eliteness to the man. If I have to be a non vegetarian for a day, then I think it would be at Jiro's because I fell in love with the food just by looking at it in a far off country on a 13 inch Macbook.

Jason G (ca) wrote: The emotional ambiguity of the protagonist infects the viewer - so much so that even a bloodbath climax engenders no feeling, one way or the other.

Hannu K (ag) wrote: My first encounter with Bollywood. Probably one extra point for exotism. But the fact, that they cannot make a hard-boiled terrorist movie without five massive dancing scenes, just thrills me.

Nicholas H (fr) wrote: Paul Rodriguez says of Dundee "Hell of a nice guy. Can't act for shit." A meta line if there ever was one.

John C (jp) wrote: A fantastic film.I seriously liked this film as I couldn't stop laughing, now while it does have the "Daft" element to it, since it's a comedy anyway it doesn't really matter about that.I felt the acting was good. Beyond that though it's not something you would watch over and over again. It's one of those films that is only good the first time.

Riley H (mx) wrote: I can't even believe this. So much doesn't make sense. Like how the "judge" narrating changes the crime over the course of his speech, how the guards all can't shoot for shit but the women can, and on and on and on. I knew Demme did this. But John Cale? That John Cale? If this is the greatest women-in-prison-film ever, I have to avoid all of those WIPFs for the rest of my life.

Colin W (de) wrote: Shame on the critics. We really should judge films on the many and varied ways they can shine or fall down. This was an excellent film although more suited to adult audiences with the right disposition. I was really unsure how this film was going to end, and it did not disappoint. The doppelganger aspect of the story was totally believable and it was a pleasure to watch the two leads weave their spell. A gem.
