Marischa B (ag) wrote: you're looking for a movie with some good spookiness, then this isn't the movie for you. Although the trailer suggests that the movie is to die for, it's not. There are some times in the movie were one gets spooked, but only by the soundtrack of the film. The movie takes you from one place to another without really being clear on where it's going. Although you might think twice about going to medical school if you aren't ready to face some real bodies, this is the closest you might get to a corpse if they make you feel queasy. This movie is definitely no more than rated 'R' for audiences in general. It's not too violent at all. I was quite dissatisfied with this film.

Ian L (ag) wrote: Truly a fascinating documentary. If you're interested in rock music, it's worth watching. The subject is more interesting perhaps than the documentary itself, but that definitely says something about what's going on in this film. Both bands become alternate realities in a way, unto each other: the Dandies become successful but are never that compelling, while BJM wallows in infamy, constantly diluted by drugs, pride, and anger. It's really a fascinating look at the music industry in the 1990s, which still holds prescience now. Well worth a viewing.

jon m (ca) wrote: I've been looking forward to this movie since 2003. It was cool to see the 3 original characters back for this 4th sequel. The acting was better than the original and the same goes for the interesting kills.

Ian C (jp) wrote: Black comedy with fuck all laughs. Alley, Barkin, Richards, Dunst and in particular Allison Janney. Twitch of Amy Adams. The gags don't really work and its a shame because the characters are great. The only laughs come from the judge who has a fetish for teenage girls.

Jason S (es) wrote: Put on your scuba gear before watching this or you will be drowned in estrogen and the tears of barren old hags who have FINALLY found a movie that "understands them"

April M (es) wrote: I love this movie, if for no other reason than it is the starting point for Christopher and I!

Melissa W (es) wrote: Really slow, and too long. Commendable depiction, however, of American values and opportunities from the perspective of an outsider.

Petros T (gb) wrote: Rob Reiner and Spinal Tap have succeeded in creating a totally realistic and believable mockumentary, and at the same time a very funny one. The acting and dialogues are great in a film that feels like a parody of but also a tribute to the big rock and metal acts of the '80s. Paired with Spinal Tap's hilarious original songs, "This Is Spinal Tap" is a very enjoyable cult phenomenon, significant for both cinema and music.

Martin C (ag) wrote: This film is an excellent telling of the later Robin Hood story. Unlike others in the genera it is not flashy and full of youthful exuberance, it is quite and middle aged. Mind you when the swords do clash you can feel the pain, not of sword cuts and blows, but of old bones and muscles being called on to do a young mans work. Connery is, as usual, Connery, but in this film it fits, the performance is good. And as for Hepburn, her performance is wonderful. Together they epitomise what I think of as the ageing Robin and Marion. But by far the best in the film is Robert Shaw's as the Sheriff of Nottingham. So laid back and worldly wise. When you watch this film don't expect youthful swashbuckling just enjoy middle aged resignation to a long life fairly well lived.

Jonathan T (br) wrote: Required viewing for bad movie afficienados. Pretty standard 70s airplane disaster plot including crazed bombers, armed Soviets, cheesy romantic flashbacks with soft focuses, a pregnant lady giving birth on a hijacked plane, a planeload full of formerly famous and/or cheesy people led by none other than Charlton Heston (can you imagine?) and young James Brolin in a completely wigged-out stoner performance as a crazed veteran. Did I use the word turgid already?

James N (ru) wrote: Splendid movie in the vain of Gaslight, although Fox's Culver City backlot not too much like old London. Apparently leading man Laird Cegar lost 100 pound on a crash diet to take the role, then died from a heart attack before it came to the screen.

Frank M (ag) wrote: One trait of a film that makes it work is the chemistry of the main cast and how well they can play off of each other. Crosby and Hope teamed up well together, which ultimately made this film work the way it did.

J K (ru) wrote: Not nearly as good as the first Magnificent Seven, maybe it had to do with the fact that the sequel did not include Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn and Eli Wallach. It does feature Warren Oates (The Wild Bunch) but his character is so subdued that I think it detracts for the point of him being there. Worth one viewing if you're curious or just like Yul Brynner. Just know he didn't carry the first film. The actors who don't appear in the sequel did.
